"Ferris Bueller's Day Off"

There’s a scene in this movie with a cool song that I can’t identify.

It’s when Cameron, Ferris, and Sloane are at the art museum. The song plays in the background as they look at various paintings, and it really picks up as the camera steadily zooms in on the painting, “An Afternoon on the Isle of La Grand Jatte” (or words to that effect).

I’ve seen the credits at the end, and since the song has no words I can’t identify it from the credits. Haven’t seen a “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” soundtrack, either.

Anybody know the name of this song, composer, CD, etc.? Anybody know where I can get a copy? Anyone… anyone… anyone…

Thanks

This will get you started. If you didn’t know about it before, the Internet Movie Database is a great place to look for stuff like this. It’s url is http://www.imdb.com

Anyway, here is the sountrack listing for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off http://us.imdb.com/Soundtracks?0091042

It’s probably one of these songs.

Thanks.

Not sure which of those songs is the one I have in mind, since the one I have in mind has no words, but it’s a good starting point.

Thanx a bunch.

According to the Save Ferris website, the song is an instrumental version of “Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want” by The Dream Academy.

“I’m not conceited. Conceit is a fault, and I don’t have any faults.”

Thanks again.

You mean we “let you get what you want,” Rasta?

The song was covered by the Dream Academy, but it is actually by the Smiths.
