Field of Daisies (a Harnic RPG)

Yes. So could a human.

“Brunis, maybe you should climb up there. We can guard against the critter down here and incase there are more up there you would be best prepared to deal with them.”

I don’t suppose there’s any chance of climbing with my sword or axe out.

If I can climb with a dagger in my teeth, I’ll do that.

Be warned that I may drop if I get jumped.

With a weapon in one hand and a torch in the other, you can at least crawl in to have a look.

My home computer is totally infected with a virus, so I couldn’t post all weekend. But I’m back, baby.

Good to have you back.

Brunis has the sword and torch and is going up the chimney.

You crawl in and look up. There is enough room to stand up. When you do, you peer over the top of a five-foot ledge. There is another passageway leading further into the cave. About a foot from the lip of the ledge you see a leather shoe. It would probably fit a child.

I pass out the shoe to the other party members, then crawl up onto the ledge.

You find the climb to be kind of tricky and you slip and bump your bum bum. Looking more carefully at possible toe holds, and handing your torch to someone else, you make a second attempt quite easily.

Taking the torch back, you see a long passage that slopes down a good deal.

“There’s a passage up here. I’m out of the way if anyone else wants to come up.”

I’ll move forward slowly, but will keep the torch near the chimney.

I’ll go up.

I’ll follow, too.

Status of the dinosaur?

I’m going to hang out and guard the rear so we don’t get attacked from behind.

Ingmar checks the status of the little lizard and reports it.

It’s following cautiously.

Staying with the group, as always…

Brunis
As soon as mostly everyone is up I’ll start moving forward.

Everyone is up.

The tunnel continues on beyond your sight. You can see two passageways off to the right of the tunnel ahead of you.

We might as well stay in the main passage if we start splitting up. That critter might be willing to take on a smaller group.

Brunis:

Two passages off to the right?

I use the torch to check out to openings. Does one look bigger, or have a child’s footprints in the dust? If there’s not big difference, I’ll take the one on the far right, barring objections.

Unless the main tunnel keeps going - I’d agree to keeping to the main tunnel then.
