And there is nothing wrong with wanting to come here! My great uncles worked farms, and during WW2 they had German POW’s who were sent out for labor. Some of those guys said they wanted to come back when the war was over…And see, my great uncles father was a German draft dodger, at sixteen he didn’t want to help Bismarck and be cannon fodder.

Oh thank you for that one, I had neglected to mention it. I loved those stories about, um, bathroom issues.
There was an old thread about the worst bathrooms one had ever seen. One poster mentioned finding a dead man in the john.
My ex wife and I were talking the other day and the Dope came up. She was like, “holy shit. It’s still around? What do you even talk about now?”
I said, “retirement, kitchen remodels and hip replacements”.
