Finn Again's Wake

Latin, huh?

Wait ׳til you hear what the ROMANS did to the Jews!

Sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh-water system, and public health?

Yeah, but apart from those?

Those things that looked like telegraph poles what they nailed people to, gladiators, stadium rock… there’s probably others.

A nice flat platform to build a mosque on?

Well, at least Alessan got it.

Like the Europeans brought to Africa?

Why, who do you think failed to notice your hardly subtle Pythoning?

Well I almost missed E-Sabbath’s Perl of wisdom.

Apparently, ivan, you did. Yes, indeed, your greatest sin. You failed to get a Python reference. You are not of the body. Fetch the lawgivers!

And here we learn from dear Finny that Jimmy Carter, the only man ever to succeed in brokering a peace between Israel and a neighboring state, is in truth “a liar and a bigot”, an anti-semite with a “partisan agenda”.

A-frackin’-mazing.

Care to address the cite I provided which shows Carter lying, constantly, in order to advance his agenda? Or how the use those constant lies are put to shows that he’s an anti-Israel bigot who credits Hamas propaganda as true and discounts the truth about Israel because of his prejudices?
Or, perhaps, why you’d make shit up since I never claimed that Carter is an anti-semite, but did say he’s an anti-Israel bigot?
Oh, speaking of you being prone to making shit up, got that quote yet about Jews trying to break into Bergen Belsen?

Or you just going to be stupid at me some more?

First of all, Carter is not the same man he was 35 years ago. People change, and not always for the better.

Second of all, Carter gets way too much credit for the Camp David agreement. That was Sadat’s and Begin’s show - they initiated it, they got it to work. The U.S. mostly just provided its patronage (and money).

Lastly, not everything Carter did was for the best. He really screwed up by siding with Egypt on the Gaza Strip (Begin wanted to give it back, Sadat wouldn’t take it). Taking Israel’s side would have saved a bucketload of trouble later on.

Sure, maybe. But would that have weakened Sadat so far as to see him assassinated sooner rather than later? I think I know, but I also think that any man who truly believes he has the solid truth in a situation like this is, to some degree, deluded. Its as if Kurosawa’s movie Rashomon had three thousand characters instead of just three.

Are good intentions a weak foundation? Yes. Have we anything else? After sixty years of hatred and horror, can anyone doubt that the march to peace will be made up mostly of stumbles?

You can try to point out to Elvis that relying on actual facts facts and possessing reading skills more advanced than a slightly retarded sixth grader are important and that he should stop making a fool of himself every time he doesn’t really understand something that’s said, but knows that he’d like to fight about it.

You could also try to teach an ostrich to play chess… is all I’m sayin’.

Hey everybody, great news! Comprehensive peace has been declared in the Middle East!!

All the fighting is over and hugs are being exchanged all around.

I knew we could do it. Thanks to everyone for your efforts!!! :):)

Yes, but middle east peace was easy compared to finding out who murdered Jimi Hendrix.

The same comment can be made about the Israeli people, the governments they’ve chosen, and the sincerity of their desire for peace too, hmm?

So Carter’s work there was *despite *his antisemitism, lying, and bigotry, huh? Or was that a complete reversal that has happened since, without anyone realizing it?

No question he, being human, made mistakes while trying to accomplish something good. But the topic here is the absolute silliness, not to mention hatefulness, of the attribution of motives that Finn, the bottomless Pit topic, (and you? :dubious: ) are making.

Oh yes, Finn. You have proven with mathematical certainty that Carter is a Jew-hatin’ liar. He is obviously determined (the villain!) to destroy Israel! What other conclusion is possible? How can anyone doubt your logic?

Funny, you’re still ignoring the facts over there spoke. You kinow, the facts that show Carter routinely, predictably and repeatedly lying in order to support a narrative in which Israrel is totally unwilling to negotiate for or accept peace.
I’ve shown you those facts. And like a coward and a partisan whore, you refused to even mention them other than to say that all of them are “quibbles”, from lies about what treaties said to lies about what negotiators did to lies about whether or not Israel attacked Hamas while Hamas was scrupulously observing a cease fire…

I’ll also note that your dishonesty has gotten old. I didn’t prove he hated Jews, and it’s telling that you have to invent a claim of anti-semitism, when the actual facts are the actual record on Carter’s habit of lying, and being so obstinately dedicated to his own opinions and prejudices that he’s actually served as Hamas’ spokesman and discounts the facts about Israel if they get in the way of his agenda. That, such a pattern of lying in support of an obvious narrative qualifies, exactly, under the denotation of bigotry and shows that, yes, Carter is a bigot against Israel, and he supports his bigotry with lies.
Speaking of lying, you’re also inventing the claim that he intends to “destroy” Israel. I suspect that your hyperbolic flailing and deliberate deception is due to the fact that you can’t actually address the facts, because then you’d have to begin discussing why, exactly, it is that Carter lies quite so very often.

I shouldn’t be surprised. The last time you got smacked in the face with the facts, like a moneyshot from an enraged stallion, you used the exact same tactics; you refused to address the facts, kept babbling that major lies were mere “quibbles”, and attempted to deify the man and state that anybody who criticized Carter must have a secret belief that he’s evil and intends to destroy Israel. I think that you don’t address the facts because you can not address the facts. You are nothing but a partisan shill and you cannot honestly discuss, only dodge.
Prove me wrong. Address the numerous, major “factual errors” of Carter’s that I’ve cited, explain how a man operating in good faith, doing his research and/or having experienced some of the events, first hand, that he is later “factually incorrect” on, manages to be quite so majorly wrong quite so often. Then explain why each and every single “factual error” without fail, is always in the service of propping up a narrative in which Israel is a warmongering aggressor totally uninterested in peace, and groups like Hamas are trustworthy, peace-loving folks. Give it a shot.

Or if you’re nothing more than a partisan whore, just repeat “Quibbles! Habitat for Humanity! Peacemaker peacemaker peacemaker!”
But we both know you aint got nothin’ and you’re merely a yipping, yapping little partisan bitch.
