Is Firefox 3.6 worth the update? Or should I stay with Firefox 3.5.8?
Here are the release notes for 3.6 so if any of these things are important then you’d definitely want to upgrade:

I am running 3.6 and I like it just fine. None of the updates in 3.6 was a “Wow! I’ve got to have that!” feature to me but everything is working nicely. I generally install the updates to get bug fixes and normal security improvements.
It’s a fairly minor update, but it’s usually a good idea to stick close to the latest release for web browsers, if only for the security improvements.
One small but noticeable improvement is that the address bar (search results) is much faster in 3.6. There are also some improvements in the native video player but you’re probably not using that much or at all right now.
What add-ons are you using now, and have you checked to see that all of them are compatible with 3.6 ?
3.6 does seem to me to be noticeably slower than 3.5.x.
One thing I observed is that under 3.6. by default, new tabs are opened to the immediate right of the active tab, rather than at the far right of the tab bar. I don’t care for this behavior, but it is easily tweaked in about:config. Just set browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false.
The only problem I have with that is that IE tab currently doesn’t work, and the alternative Coral IE tab made the browser buggy.
Everything else was perfectly fine, though.
Thanks folks. Good stuff to think about.
I think it’s reported somewhere in ATMB that it can have problems with certain cookies. I know I reverted one of my systems back.
I’m noticing some link-related slowdowns. But I’m not experiencing any systemic slowdowns like I had been . . . like when it couldn’t catch up with my typing.
