Nuts, perhaps the spider army is geographically confused, but since they’re out on manoeuvres, it might be a while before they find you. I’m in the Wet Midlands so north/south is relative…
Jim, there must be pics now so that we have something to compare farmer’s tan and non-farmer’s tan with. It’s only fair!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 99 which means a heat index of around 110 Amurrkin this afternoon. Looks like Summer is sayin’ howdy for real today.
Who? yay for the yellow belt!
Howdy wiki!
Dummy (we’ll work on a nickname) I vote for bored pet. Actually it does not have to be a bored pet especially if’n it’s a dawg. A dawg would be all, “Shoe! YUM!”
Jim it would appear an overwhelmin’ majority wants the shirtless pic. Thus, you must post a pic of you shirtless and sweaty posthaste.
Wait… What???I’M GAY???!!!
Nope… just never gets old.
Ok now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed, then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.
Well, tell 'em to give me a ring when they get close, and I’ll put the kettle on, they’ll be exhausted- I’m in the South West.
Being very grumpy today- the people painting the back of the house finally showed up today, and random people keep showing up and jamming the door bell in, and leaving all the doors open. I need to go buy some felt, but the people doing the painting don’t actually have any house keys (this is the same group who just let themselves in a few weeks back, but apparently they only have a key when we’re not expecting them). They didn’t think to check if anyone was actually going to be in today before showing up either…
Maybe I need to move somewhere with fewer silly people- I hear this guy needs a new housemate.
**BBBobbio **- it’s only wrong if you don’t give me a few thousand…
I really should get dressed and plant my iris. But I don’t want to. Plus I’ll risk waking **FCD **if I go in there now - that wouldn’t be nice, would it??
Maybe I’ll just have some breakfast. Decisions, decisions…
Dummy, I once found one of my shoes underneath a couch cushion. I still don’t know how it got there, because it was long before I had a dog.
I want to go home already. Roomie’s going away for the weekend, and I’ve decided that rather than spend the time cleaning (which is impossible to do when she’s home) I’m going to spend it making a bigger mess. I’ve got an idea for a painted-panel quilt that will probably take me the majority of the summer to finish. And now I want to go out and get all my supplies and start working. But no. I’m here. Irking. To pay for the supplies. It’s a vicious cycle.
Congratulations, April, that’s a great looking little gal you gots there. Cute as a button!
You already know you have a standing, or sitting if you prefer, invitation for anytime you’re in town. Same for everyone here, the more the merrier.
Last night we took the brisket, chopped it up with some sauteed onions and garlic and put it on toasted onion rolls with BBQ sauce. Holy cow? Yeah, pretty much.
Then I took off my shoes and walked across the freshly cut St. Augustine grass in the backyard and burst forth in song.
Just booked a (almost certainly one-way) vet appointment tomorrow for my mousey
She has a massive tumour- it just appeared, suddenly, over the last few days.
Anyway, the painters have gone for the day, so I can finally go buy felt.
Whew! What a chore! I planted between 80 and 100 iris, and I’ve still got 75 to go. I just ran out of steam, plus it got HOT! There’s a 50% chance of rain today and 60% tomorrow, so I shouldn’t have to water. We shall see…
Meanwhile, we’re going to ride up to Annapolis, get some lunch, and get our cedar. Sitting in the truck is lots easier than planting iris.
I figured out on Monday that my paycheck was short by $422.65. I was all like
Then I wrote HR and they found out what happened and I am going to get the missed amount this Friday, now I am all like VICTORY!!
Apes, Victory money is better than earned money any day of the week, even if they’re the same.
My iPod is playing nothing but Tori Amos this morning. I think it might be subliminally trying to make me an angsty 20-year-old again. Every time I skip a song, it plays something else and then one song later it’s right back to “Cornflake Girl” and I’m all stop it, iPod, I’m much more well-adjusted now. Stupid shuffle setting.
Good luck Jim! I know it makes me weird … but I love moving. I love packing things up (and throwing half my stuff out in the process). I love making lists of what’s in every box and color-coding with little stickers according to room-destination. I especially love rearranging my furniture in a new space and unpacking.
But most of all, I love hiring somebody to do all the actual lifting. Because eff that.
lieu I have a mental image of you skippin’ through the back yahd singin’ the theme song to The Sound of Music.
Drae you found a shoe in your couch and don’t know why? Musta been one wild date!
Jim we still await the shirtless sweaty pic of you.
So, N.O.L. has been et and a ton o’ paperirk accomplished. I have tons more tasks to complete but for a little bit Ima chill cause I need me a breather.
I tried Johnny Trigg’s receipe and love it.
Dry rub and 2 hours with the bone side down.
Then put Squeeze Parkay, Tiger Sauce, brown sugar and honey on the meat, wrap it in foil, turn it meat side down (so can soak in) and return to heat for 1 hour.
Then remove from foil and bone side down for 1 hour to finish.
They were incredibly moist, tender and had a fantastic flavor. I substituted agave nectar for honey.

I know, right? I demand a share as well.

Cool, we can talk plants while we munch.
