Tell that to the Dixie Chicks. They forgot that they were only entertainers. They were only important because they had a fan base. When the fan base stops buying the product, there is no longer a product to sell.
Professional football is a product. A product played by entertainers. Entertainers who are supported by fans. Unless the entertainer choses to piss off the fans. Bye bye entertainer.
If asshole Kaepernick choses to bite the hand that feeds him, that’s his personal choice. His personal choice happens to make him an asshole. Will the people supporting asshole Kaepernick’s personal choice even come close to buying enough tickets, tee shirts, and hot dogs to make up the lost revenue of keeping asshole Kaepernick on the roster?
It seems that the unreasonably offended weren’t displaying the proper level of indignation. I think he’s upped the ante, or at least stirred the pot. Check out his practice socks:
Actually, this isn’t an effort to up the ante. He’s apparently been wearing these sock since at least August 10.
He has also posted that the socks were meant to signify rogue cops, not all police officers. Not sure that’s going to convince the critics, but there it is.
I look forward to reading various police and police spokespeople intimating threats on his life, just like good little gang members who feel their gang is being disrespected.
Once again: in what way and by who are you being ‘shouted down’ on this board? That’s really the only thing I’m interested in hearing from you. I have to say that you seem at least as incapable of answering a simple question as you claim I am.
But hey, answer or not; I’m done feeding the troll. Good day, sir.
You’re a bit confused here. There is still football without the Dixie Chicks. There is no football without football players.
You poor thing… it must be humbling for you to realize that talented black athletes can say and do as they please, and there’s not a goddamn thing you can do about it. Enjoy your pathetic whining boycott of one.
It doesn’t bother me that Kaep stood apart from the majority of Americans …
It doesn’t bother me that he stood apart from the majority of fans in the stadium …
It DOES bother me Kaep stood apart from his team, alone … that’s not how Super Bowls are won.
Kaep just isn’t that good of a quarterback, he lost his starting job and he knows perfectly well the Niners ain’t going to pay their second string QB that much. This really seems like a spoiled little child standing off to the side stamping his foot screaming “Pay attention to ME”.
Don’t get me wrong here, I enjoy burning the American flag as much as the next person, it’s good wholesome and constitutional protected entertainment … but he let the team down, just when they need him the most. You don’t have to be a Forty-Niner Faithful like myself to know this isn’t going to be a very good year. Alex Smith was always the better man …
OMG! You guys! Colin didn’t stand again! Not only does he hate America he Double Hates America!!
I don’t even think ISIS would want him as a member at this point.
But seriously what is up with that camera guy all up in his junk for? Retards are acting like he murdered Obama and is strutting around laughing about it.
CK is burning bridges across the NFL…if he is cut its likely no one will give him a second chance…not because of his politics but because of his weak arm.
IMO the GMs want guys who will sacrifice for the good of the team. The 49ers have all this drama surrounding their team and play their first game in 10 days. Its a major distraction. The fact that CK is marginally talented only makes his choices seem dumber. Its like he is melting down. He is using this controversy to avoid having to come to terms with the fact that his career is about to end…based solely on his talent.
