As of this post, Flamsterette_X has 1150 posts. She has been registered since March 16 of this year, a hair less than two months ago. This is an incredible 19.57 posts a day! I am in awe! How much longer can she keep it up? Handy has 12124 posts at a rate of 10.46 posts per day. At this rate Flamsterette_X will surpass Handy as the doper with the most posts at the end of August in 2005.

Well, I suspect she may have already surpassed handy in word count. handy’s posts are usually only one or two sentences, while F_X’s are often rather lengthy…

The only reason why I took more than 7 hours to respond to this thread is that I was out all day. So I do take breaks from the computer, people. 
Eonwe, I think lel came to the same conclusion as you did. We were chatting on IM a couple of days ago, and she said that she had calculated that I’d bypass handy in August of 2005 or somewhere around there. She also came up with a new nickname for me (besides Hamster_X): Flaming Hamster Z. I don’t know if that fits me, but it’s all in fun. Oh, and if you’re reading this, lel… I beat you to mentioning that nickname!
Ferrous, I just happen to write a lot. Some people don’t, while others post things that look like college/university papers! The second extreme is mine, I fear.

Not real sure if this thread is a compliment or not. But, you know when you see the same poster’s name in threads over and over again you tend to stop reading their posts or having much respect for their opinion. But then again, with so many of the veteran dopers getting burned out on the board and not posting much, somebody’s gotta take up the slack, even if it is with ‘me too’ posts. Validation for some involves a lot more than for others.
There is life outside of Straight Dope.

I’m not looking for respect from everyone; I know that there will be always some people who don’t respect or agree with my opinion. That’s fine; I don’t agree with all opinions on this board, either. This is not a flame directed at ultress or anyone else. I understand that if you see the same poster’s name everywhere on the board, you might get burned out on reading their posts. Just skip over my posts, if you feel that way. I won’t mind; heck, I won’t even know!

Light-hearted ribbing was the only borderline-negative thing he could see, he continued. (which I don’t take negatively at all, unless it gets malicious) So I take this thread as a compliment. Aren’t posting rates such as the one mentioned in the OP just another manifestation of an OCD? Plus a few other personality disorders not worth getting into here.
Then why bring it up in the first place? Especially in a 8 month old thread. There’s currently a Pit thread on Flam’s posting habits, why not just keep your vitriol in there?
