Hard to say. Wendy’s modernized its logo in 2012, and Ms. Goodwin clearly seems styled and made up to look like the logo.
But on the other hand, the logo is still a little girl, with pigtails and bows. Whereas Ms. Goodwin is very much grown up. (And hot. Did I mention that she was hot?)
Then there’s the real Wendy, who is more grown up still, and doesn’t look all that much like the logo any more. If she ever did.
Perhaps Wendy is a trinity of the logo girl, Ms. Goodwin, and Ms. Thomas. Wendyology is a difficult subject.
The perfect disguise because in her regular roles she’s unrecognizable. Real conversation: “Is that Flo?” “I’m not sure.”
Read a quote where he said that he makes more from Mayhem ads than he ever did as an actor. They are so awesome that I will even watch them on YouTube.
I love Flo. I see no reason to overanalyze lovable Flo. She has a job to do and does it well. I love her over the top make-up and performance.
My favorite one is when she comes out of a darkly lit area to speak with the two guys, then tries to step back into the darkness. They reply “we still can see you”, to which she replies “no you don’t”. I laugh every time. Flo is a good character in my book!
My wife and I go out of our way to see things with J.K. Simmons. He’s like Stephen Root - a “character actor” who is frequently more compelling than the leads. With a couple of scenes in Burn After Reading he completely stole the film from George Clooney, Brad Pitt and John Malkovich.
