I’m cold.
I just felt the first truly heavenly breeze of the season. Ahhhhh.
I drove to work this morning (68 degrees F) with the window down. Man, I’ve been waiting for this. Of course, we’re moving tomorrow to a house with a swimming pool. Yep, we decided to get a house with a swimming pool in October. Oh, well, there should be about another month of swimming weather if I tough it out.
Hands cold. Hate this. Already.
I actually felt cold today when I walked outside! It was 68 degrees! I love it so much. So much. Please, please mommy, can we keep it?
I’m near Orlando, and it’s supposed to be back in the 90s next week, so I think you’ll have several more weeks of swimming.
It is freakin’ gorgeous outside! We should get “beautiful days” like they get snow days up north.
I’m doing great, baby. How are you?
There was a definite chill in the air when I left for work…now, if we could just get some god-pounding rain to go along with it…
I had to drive from Jacksonville down the road to St. Augustine today. It was great! I took 1A instead of I-95 and had the windows down and, for the first time in months, the AC off.
I hate it. If I wanted to be cold, I would have stayed in South Dakota.
This morning was cool, but humid. Now, it’s warmer but dry. I prefer the latter to the former.
I get joint pain when the weather gets cooler but I still love cooler weather. I can handle a little pain, it’s the “can’t move, can’t breathe, soaked in sweat, can’t do anything, I think I have heatstroke” feeling that I don’t want.
The change in the weather threw a monkey wrench into my sinuses. I got up yesterday with a splitting headache and didn’t get to feeling better until after I puked…on the up side, I stayed home from work, got some reading done, and I prefer a minor headache-and-puke episode to the constant misery Wile E describes.
This is what I miss about my years in Tallahassee. The weather got cool enough that I could wear some spiffy winter clothes, drink hot chocolate/coffee/hot cider and not get overheated, and my skin would completely clear up and “glow”. I also miss the February/March backyard parties with bonfires, a keg, and trying to hold back use of “I hate fuzzy bunnies” until the smoke from the bonfire was unbearable.
Orlando winter is just not the same.
I have Reynaud’s Syndrome (capillaries constrict in my fingertips, cutting off circulation), so whenever temps are below 70º or whenever I hold an icy cold glass, my fingertips go numb and turn many fantastic colors. The blue is my favorite. Then they hurt like hell when I warm them back up and the blood starts flowing again.
I love it, I want more ! I really can’t wait until January-February.
Precisely! I live in downtown Tally, and we’ve got a space where we have bonfires all through the winter. I love when it’s cold enough to just set a twelvepack of beer outside the circle of fire warmth and not worry about icing it.
Howdy, neighbor!
I’m in Levy Park, technically Midtown.
Howdy, neighbor! I’m across Monroe and up toward the capital from you. (Capitol? Which one is right for the building? I never remember.) Too bad it clouded up again today, eh?
A powerful front came through S. Texas early this morning in the form of a bed-shaking line of thunderstorms. No issues with that though as I love the rain, especially sleeping to it. It took us from warm and muggy days to a cooler, drier, snappier, blue sky day with the gentlest of breezes.
This is awesome.
