Pull down the space heaters and yank out the parkas! (Florida's winter has arrived)

My fellow Floridians, I believe our winter is officially underway. It’s going down to 54 tonight and it’s not supposed to break 70 tomorrow where I am.

I’m happy, cause just yesterday it was unpleasantly warm (87! and humid! and I was bitching!). More open-window no-A/C weather on the way!

This is my favorite time of the year. Do any of my peninsular brethren agree?

I’m freezing my nitzes off! It must be like 60 in here!

Ha, well I won’t be back until November, and I am currently surviving 25-35 degree weather here in Kansas City. Brrr! I hope Lake Okeechobee doesn’t freeze before I get there!

-foxy

Holy crap, it’s only going to be 72 here tomorrow. The Palm Beachers will be busting out their furs.

God yes. I just turned off the A/C and opened my sliding glass doors to my patio. Beautiful.

Woohoo! I love it! This is the type of weather that always makes the pets run around like nutters and I don’t blame them because it makes me want to move around, too.

Oh you can all just go to hell.

Neener, neener, and, neener.

No!

I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the cold.

It arrived while I had my morning cigarette.

I scurried back inside.

I anxiously await the return of heat.

It’s 40 degrees up here right now in the Panhandle.
I think I’ll do some baking today.

Chocolate chip cookies, please.

They’ll go well with the hot chocolate I’ve been needing lately to keep the shivers away.

Lucky bastards in sunshine land. Grrr. Well, brrr, anyway.

Bah! It was a paltry 9 degrees in Wolves this morning when I left for work. You’re just trying to make me jealous.

Me, I’m having a nice bowl of soup for lunch to celebrate.

Don’t forget that the exchange rate is almost two to one in your favour, though.

I’d forgotten the “cold” was coming. So when I stepped out to the gym in my shorts and t-shirt, I was most pleasantly surprised by the 53 degree air that met me.

A high of 74 today. It’s like recovering from a long illness. Or a much needed vacation after a long, hard task.

If only we could get some overcast. It would be PERFECT.

Only a week until summer starts again.

It was 40 here in south Jawja this morning. I pulled some homemade beef stew out of the freezer for supper tonight. Yay! Beef stew weather!

That is probably the only thing going in my favour today. Bah! It’s turning into one of those days I just wish I’d stayed in bed…

It’s 40° in Montgomery this morning. My secretary is bundled up in a parka while I’m wearing a short sleeve dress and loving every second of my walk from car to office. My persian cat, who would sleep in our refrigerator in summer if we let her, was all poofy this morning and wanted to go outside! Dang I love this weather!

What a B-E-A-UTIFUL day! I love it!

YAY, and my overly judgmental babysitter gave me crap for not having a coat for my daughter, who is inside all day.

Ivylad loves this type of weather, and opened up all the windows last night for sleeping.

I’m wearing a sweater and my closed-toe shoes today. Brrrr!!!
