I like and respect Gfactor. He does a great job as a mod in GQ, and even better as a poster on legal questions. If he wants to moderate the pit, I think he can handle it.
Zotti and Bodoni, not so much. They may be great people with many talents in other areas, but if they start seriously trying to mod the pit, they’re either going to end up banning a bunch of posters, or killing the forum.
I’ll hoist a glass to **Giraffe **and Fluiddruid for a job well done.

I think you might be overstating things a bit. Lynn modded the Pit for years and years. The Pit flourished under her. She’s not going to kill the forum or ban everybody. I’m actually happy to see that she’s back. Maybe we won’t have to deal with whiney-ass OPs that belong in MPSIMS anymore.
You know, if you guys had paid your taxes on time, all of this could have been avoided.

So, now that she’s no longer modding in the pit, anyone else willing to come out and admit their Doper Crush on fluiddruid?
Well, I watched her really blow a call a few weeks ago. Somebody said something she didn’t like about Planned Parenthood, and things got ugly. As I saw it, she let her personal involvement with that cause override her judgment as a mod. She’s still better than Zotti…but that isn’t saying much at all. Zotti is a horrible mod, and should never attempt to act as one.
Really, the pit is unique enough that it ought to be off limits for all non-pit mods when it comes time to moderate something.
Gaudere is one admin who is also a good mod. There’s one other, but I can’t recall his name right now.

Seriously? I’d put my vote in for that. There have been too many “I’m a victim” threads here.
But it doesn’t seem to go with the whole kinder, gentler motif to tell whiny, self-involved people to buzz off to MPSIMS. I was actually expecting more whiny, victim threads under the new administration. If that’s not the case, that could be a welcome change. It’s certainly not something I’ve noticed Ed changing.
I’d second both sentiments.

I have to say, I’m a little scared at the direction the Pit is likely to take if both Giraffe and fluiddruid are bailing. The thing I liked best about this forum is that it wasn’t like sitting around the Algonquin with Dorothy Parker and her fellow wits. Sometimes it’s satisfying to let your id run free.
I’ll miss you as a mod here, fluiddruid. And had I known you were female, I’d have thrown many more sexist jokes and uses of the word “tits” into my interactions with you.
