I’d actually never really paid any attention to him before. I’d seen him post in a few other threads, but I admit that he floated in under my radar.
I honestly thought that this was performance art being done very badly.

Never much on my own radar beyond a vague awareness of occasional angry/stupid comments. But I noticed that he seems to be ramping up the supercilious jerkishness on even the most mundane of GQ-type topics recently. So out of interest I checked the Pit, and discovered this interesting read.
Apparently even if he got the personality transplant that so desperately needs, that might not go far to fix Flyer’s intellectual shortcomings, nor his bigotry & self-righteous hypocrisy. The underage porn thing came out of left field, I’m not sure what to make of that. What would Jesus do? According to Flyer, it seems Jesus would split his time between hating fags and jacking off to Ron Jeremy abusing 16-year-olds.
What a foul embarrassment for humanity.

Since 16 was the age of legal consent in that state, Jared Fogle was not charged with a crime. But does Flyer believe that “prosecutors declined to press charges” and “not a creep” are synonyms? That view would be quite opposite to his Biblical blather quoted upthread.
I’m glad for this thread. Flyer started pinging my radar in the last few months (didn’t remember him before that time) and I wondered if it was just me being too sensitive. Nope - he really is awful.

In a thread about the Jared/Subway scandal, he makes a post - apparently unironic - consisting of the following comment:

ETA: I tried above to fairly summarize his stated views (it’s hardly necessary to exaggerate them), but on rereading the last thread I now realize that he was not asserting that a child should have been executed at the age of 12; although she was still only 13 when convicted.
Of further relevance, I note that he linked to what appears to be an MRA website for the story of Jasmine Richardson (I won’t link to it again, here’s Wikipedia). Her alleged actions per that MRA website included (as a 12-year-old child) seducing her 23-year-old boyfriend to induce him to commit murder. Direct quote from the site he linked to:
