FNG's MMP

See that’s the problem.

Where’s my cell phone? I can’t find it. I think the last time I had it was Monday night (it’s only for outgoing calls, if you need to talk to me call me at home at 312-555-1212 or at irk at 630-irk-some) when I rode WB so it’s either in my riding jacket pocket or in my tack box.

And it’s raining and cold and I had an icky dream last night.

Triple blurf.

It’s only a problem if you’re still one of the laboring masses, whereas if you’re a retiree, you can go back to sleep till 8:45-ish. Yes, I’m quite rested, thanks, and showered, dressed, and breakfasted. Light breakfast, because in 2 hours, I’m meeting my sweetie for lunch at a sushi place.

It’s rainy today, so I won’t be tending to fallen leaves. After lunch, I’ve got to run to WalMart to get kitteh litter and super glue -it’s a different store from yesterday, so I’m hopeful of getting what I need. Then I’ll come home and do some laundry and maybe put some underglaze on my bobble head monster.

As I was surfing a local community site last night, I came across a page for the county dept on aging. Among other things, they offer activities and classes and stuff for 55+ folkses. I thought I might contact them and volunteer to teach knitting and crocheting if they’d like. Or see if there’s something else I can do to be useful. Oh, and my latest afghan is looking very cheery - I’ll post pics of it and the last one when I’m done.

Happy Wednesday!!

MOOOOOOM I can guarantee that they will looooove you for anything you volunteer to do. Trust me on this one.

Ok, now I am off to be  productive  as opposed to goofin’ off like I have for the past hour. Be proud of me.

Agreed. See, if 5am came around at the same time the mail was delivered, which at my house is mid-afternoon, then all would be well and good with the world. I could break my coffee habit, which I would so love to do.

Nava, I must thank you for letting me play with your verbs, and I hope I treated them with the utmost gentleness, even if I wasn’t allowed to lick them. Don’t tell Skald the Rhymer that, though. Something about zombies.

Spanish test… hell, I don’t know how it went. Some sections, like verb conjunction, I think I did ok on. However, there was an essay question where we were required to write a paragraph – in Spanish, obviously, describing our best friend. For the life of me, I could not remember the words for hair, eyes and skin. So I’m sure I bombed. I had a dream last night that I got a “C”. God, I hope not. The instructor was pretty cool, he spent the test wandering through the classroom, looking over people shoulder. Every once in a while he would bend over and whisper to someone something like “that sentence sure is short. Aren’t you missing a word?” Or as he walked by he would tap someone’s test, whispering “better double check that verb/pronoun”. He never said anything like that to me so either I’m A) way awesome, an academic prince among men, or, B) I suck so bad I’m beyond instruction. I’ll find out Thursday, he says.

Morning. I believe that is all I have got today.

Carry on!

Quémalos, best thing to do with them zombies. Or maybe I just like flamethrowers.

The words you were missing were pelo, ojos and piel. Piel also means pelt, hide or fur, and you have three ojos: the ones in your face and the one in your behind (which one is not supposed to mention in public). Those ovals broth sometimes has are called ojos as well.

Thanks for the reminder, Ashes[sup]2[/sup]!

Thanks everyone for the vacation destination suggestions. We’ll have to review and make a decision soon.

I’m supposed to be doing data testing on some new fields in our database today. Except there all blank. That was a fast test. So now I guess I have to find other work to do.

Now that I think about it, why did I just have to have one of these right now:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=180737705365? I’m moving pretty soon and 2/3s of my stuff will probably end up in storage for a while. Ah well, it’ll be a nice jaunt down memory lane and Mom won’t be selling it at a yard sale, like the original, priceless heirloom for which I pined.

My To-Do list is all swoll up with blechy Dos. Turns out Phone Tag is NOT as fun as it sounds.

One of the reasons I’m very glad to be in Spanish 2 now is that I no longer have to write paragraphs about my best friend, my sisters, or my car. However, I did have to write a paragraph about the chores I do around the house. Odio barrer.
Woke up to a nice surprise today…it’s raining again…

Garbage day is tomorrow, first day of the fall yard waste pickup. I was going to do the second round of driveway raking but it’s friggen raining again. We don’t worry much about the yard but the driveway is a necessity. Last year we got 35 bags of leaves from just the driveway and we still didn’t get it all before the first snow came. Our awesome neighbor across the street took the 5 bags we already filled to the drop off so we didn’t have to hold on to them 'til tomorrow.

Sweetie is staying home today. YAY! He decided that 5 weeks of OT in a row are enough and he’s tired so he’s gonna have a lazy day.

I promised him yesterday that I would clean the bathroom walls and ceiling today but I realize now that the only cleaning products I have are toilet cleaner, tile cleaner, and windex. I don’t know if the wallpaper and paint can handle any of that. I might go with the old fallback of really hot water. Otherwise, I have to go shopping and I really don’t wanna have to put a bra on today.

My government professor put up some extra credit today. One of them is to listen to a talk on slavery and write a 1-2 page paper on it. I’ll actually have a car that day (gotta get my fungus checked out) but the stoopit talk starts at the same time as my appointment. Grumble. Looks like I’ll be stopping by the historical museum to look at art instead. grumble again.

Is it too late to thing girlie thoughts in LiLi’s direction? girliegirliegirleigirliegirliegirliegirlie:D:D
Moooooooooom…I wanna learn to knit! I have yarn and needles and a teach yourself book and I think I am doing it right but I’m not sure and I always have trouble and nothing looks right so I always fall back to crochet, which I’m also not very good at but at least I can keep the yarn from falling off the hook all the friggen time.

Lemme try this: http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=180737705365

It still doesn’t work for me. :frowning:

Remember those vindictive plumbing gods? Well, they had one more little gift for me. Apparently, while breathing septic fumes for several hours Monday, something lodged in my sinuses and I now have a wonderfully entertaining sinus infection. With extra headache and sore throut on the side.

Fortunately, I don’t have to unstop anything today. everything, including my nose, is draining quite freely.

In a few minutes I’m going to take a shower, (Yay!) and go to the store for alka-seltzer and salad stuffs, etc. Then I’m gonna do nothing. Except mop the kirchen and bathroom floors sometime today.

I have nothing to say about Spanish classes. When I was in high school, (yes, they had schools back then) all that was offered was Spanish and French. The Spanish teacher announced to all and sundry that anyone who couldn’t roll their Rs would fail her class. (that’s a fiat). I couldn’t roll my Rs, so I took French.

Spanish would have been more useful.

Dropped Tisiphone off at the vet. I have a bad feeling, but I’m trying to stay positive. She’s only 18 months old, so hopefully it’s not too serious. I’m afraid it’s kidney disease again.

Yays, boos, and hugs to those who want them.

Ok, here I am at yet another enrollment “event.” Fortunately this is just for the afternoon. Rah.

Oh well, back to irk.

GIRLS!!!

With the standard disclaimer about not being able to tell for absolutely sure until birth blah blah.

Anyway, yay!

What the? Argle bargle** taxi**; I’ll just describe it. It’s basically a grilled Crustable maker so imagine a small, circular, long-handled paninni press that seals the edges by smooshing the bread around the edges. Then you heat each side over the stove or campfire. Remember to not wait for it to cool before trying to eat it. Yum!

yay for girls!!!

Girls!!! Yay for little girls!!!

Back from lunch and errands. I got a chunk of beef that will be crock-potted tomorrow, and I decided we’re having weenies for supper because it’s quick and easy. And I’ll probably be nice and make another apple crisp since the other one was inhaled pretty fast.

Still drizzly and icky. Guess I should toss a load in the washer. rah.

a) you’ve got “http://” twice, and
2) the elipses in the middle are probably important characters

So - try this - go back to the page using a link that works, then click http://tinyurl.com/ - that will make a copy/pasteable link for us
