Foods you just can't get enough of

Spicy food. Even though my digestive system simply cannot handle it, I must say “10” when ordering Indian or Thai food. And jalapenos are good on just about anything to spice it up. Oh my poor aching stomach :frowning:

Yeah, PB thing has me by the short and curlies.

Also – mashed potatoes.

Greek salad. I have one most days for lunch. I’ve even found a low fat feta cheese so it’s not too naughty.

This is going to sound weird, but I consistently get cravings for and could eat on an everyday basis several things that most consider gross.

Beets- Love their earthieness, my favorite way to eat them is Harvard.

Asparagus- Love them fresh, but invariably eat them canned because of cost and availability.

Brussels Sprouts- Can’t get enough of the their tender sweet, cabbagey, goodness… steamed with a bit of butter salt and pepper.
…Makes me wonder if I have some mineral deficiency with these kind of cravings.

Ranch dressing. Yes, I’m one of those freaks who puts it on everything.
Cheeseburgers
Spaghetti
Potatoes - any shape or form
Taco dip

Waffles! For a couple years, I’d dash home every day on my lunch hour and make them from scratch! No kidding. I then would have them for snacks in the evening. I may have burned myself out on them, because now I only have them every week or two. But mmmmm WAFFLES. With real butter and maple syrup. Or sliced strawberries and vanilla yogurt. Or plain topped with peanut butter. Any way, I’ll take a waffle.

I second the hummus, too, except I make my own. Pretty much whirr up a can of chickpeas and olive oil, garlic and salt and you’re done. Now I add some silken tofu to cut down on the oil and damn it’s good.

Blue corn chips. The Meijer organic brand with sesame seeds are spectacularly good.

Bananas.

Salad, with basalmic vinegar and olive oil and salt. Cherry tomatoes and maybe a few pieces of cold pasta. I could eat this every day for lunch.

And ice cream. Daily ice cream: how can you not be happy?

Orange juice.

When I was a kid, my parents would only let me have a tiny glass of orange juice once a week, because it was so expensive. When I became self-supporting I realized that I could have as much orange juice as I wanted. I wanted quite a lot. For a while I was running through a gallon of OJ a day. I still love the stuff.

I love sashimi. I’ve never felt like I’ve gotten enough.

Pasta salad! Not the garbage you see in salad bars (much too much mayonaise and not enough interesting stuff), but what I make myself with olives (lots and lots) peppers, sweet and hot, scallions, all cut up, sweet relish, and a moderate quantity of mayonaise. To make a meal of it, I might add shrimp or cut up roast chicken breast. Divine. Usually, I use the shape pasta called radiators, but others will do. The radiators tend to pick up the pieces.

Jenny Craig Mac and Chee is a special thing.

Joe

I will never be truly skinny because there is ALWAYS a time for just a bowl of pasta, al dente, with butter and parmesan and nothing else. Mmmm, the delicious taste of carbs!

The Womens Auxillary of Laverne, Oklahoma calls them Birox, I’ll have you know.(I got the recipe from their little cookbook)I see google has sites for bierox, so one of them is wrong.

To answer the pizza dough query…yes. My sister’s in-laws own a pizzeria and she uses their pizza dough often when making bi(e)rox if she doesn’t feel like making the dough from scratch.
