No passport necessary. You will need a survival kit, though:
– Springsteen tapes
– A big jar of change to pay Parkway tolls
– A can of Aqua-Net (X-tra hold)
– A gas mask in case you have to drive through Port Elizbeth

Seriously, weekends are usually bad for me with all of my out-of-town plans and all, but I’ll check back to see the date etc etc.
My roommate has a mini-van, I could borrow it to transport people as well.
Went to school in Elizabeth when I was just a wee little tot, private school. Yeah, the town stinks. Literally.

I think it’s a great idea to explore the other boroughs. If not Park Slope how about Brooklyn Heights or Carol Gardens.
I also hear there are many new places in Hoboken, N.J.
Hoboken has a great German bar called Helmer’s. It’s big enough for a dopefest, and is near enough to PATH for most anybody. Oh, and it has a great beer selection, and the food doesn’t suck.
Groan.
I used to live in Hoboken. There is no way I’m going back there. No way. That town is overpriced and overpolluted with assholes.
If not Park Slope, I vote for Williamsburg, the neighborhood where everyone walks around with those dark rimmed glasses on.
Oh, Williamsburg, that overpriced part of Brooklyn where people pay way too much to live in warehouses…

I think Hoboken’s a fine Idea (as long as we don’t need to sneak in any illegal aliens from Jersey back into NY.) and anyways, if we do decide to cause a ruckus, I wouldn’t want it to be in my home town where I would never be allowed to go again because of being associated with those evil and unruly Dopers. Let Jersey deal with the mess, I vote for Hoboken. It’s just for one night?

My server goes down for two days and all of a sudden we are meeting in Hoboken? At Houseman’s suggestion, no less! I was thisclose to getting them to come to Park Slope and El Viejo Yayo.
Oh well. So, smartypants Houseman, how are we getting to Hoboken?

My vote is for El Viejo Yayo. An excellent spanish restaurant with bottled beer. There is a tasteful eating area for those of us who are refined and a smoky bar for those of us who are unrefined.
Awright. If I can’t get y’all out to Jersey, I vote Park Slope.
P.S. had supper at Rancho Alegro the other nite. I had a fabulous dish: Arroz con chorizo y pollo. Yum yum. I still can’t get over how good it was. 
Oh yeah, the reason I object to smoky bars is simply this: the smoke makes me sick. Literally.
Nothing is finalized, but there is a possibility I might be in town this weekend. Me Da has to drop YoungerSisterRiddles off at AuntRiddles in Long Island, and he’s staying the weekend. If PopRiddles decides to take the motorcycle (as he wants to) I am up the preverbial creek. However, if he agrees to take his car, and split driving time with me, I will be in town sometime Saturday afternoon, with the intention of going to the Guster concert in Central Park at 6:00ish. We’re heading back sometime on Sunday, it has yet to be determined whether I’ll stay in Manhattan or take the train back Saturday night.
So the long and short of it is: anyone want to go see Guster with Swiddles? If PopRiddles decides to take his car, of course. I will find out for sure tonight. There is a possibility of an early dinner, too.
