1.) Yes, but only WITH a beard. Without a beard, it just looks screwed up. To a large extent, it depends on the guy, too.
2.) Yes, but he never, ever had a beard.

Mr. Adoptamom had a very full beard when I met, then married him. It was over five years before I saw him clean shaven and yes, he looks just as great without a beard as with one :smiley:

I too like facial hair, both moustache and beard, neatly trimmed.

My father did sport a moustache at one time, but for most of his life was clean shaven.

  2. My dad seemed to change his facial hair every five years or so; I know he had a moustache for a while, a beard, and was clean-shaven until he moved out to live with his girlfriend, after which he seems to have grown some kind of half-beard. He never had anything resembling a goatee, though.

  1. Depends on the person. Overall, I like mustaches/goatees. Quite a bit. Don’t like chest hair or (urp!) back hair. Hair on top of the dome is optional also.
  2. When I was growing up he was always clean shaven. When I was 25-26 or so he started growing a beard only on the winter. Now he has a wonderful pure silver beard. Looks very nice on him.

I really only think moustaches are attractive when there’s more facial hair than that (a beard, a goatee, even a little pinch along with – all of which I like very much, when they’re short). I don’t like those big duster moustaches under any circumstances, really.

My dad was clean-shaven.

  1. In almost 33 years I have never come across a man who I thought looked better with facial hair than without. Mustaches, goatees, and the like can look just fine, and I’ve never had any trouble or discomfort kissing a guy with facial hair, but I always think that men look better when they are clean-shaven.

  2. Dad was clean-shaven until I was 15, which is when he and Mom separated. Within a few years he had a beard, and he hasn’t shaved since. Mom thinks he grew it just to spite her, because she prefers facial hair and says she repeatedly asked him to grow a beard while they were married but he never would. That’s not why they separated, though: it was because he prefers facial hair, too. :smiley:

I happen to be a huge fan of male hairyness, in general. I agree with balladonna, men are supposed to be hairy. Bare chested men look pre-pubescent, to me.

Hate moustaches, but LOVE beards! There’s nothing manlier and sexier than a nice beard. My dad has a moustache.
