I’ll leave it at that. I have things myself I’m sensitive to talk about, and when someone says ‘I just don’t want to’ or something of the like, I’ll happily let it drop. The initial asking is, like I said before, pure curiosity on my part.
This rather brought the point home for me. No, I wouldn’t ask why you didn’t want bread, I’d assume you just didn’t feel like it right then. Why should alcohol be any different?
I will admit to being overly curious about things I shouldn’t be; I’m a rather unshy person and I sometimes forget that other people aren’t as willing to share their personal lives with total strangers as I am. I do, however, apologise for my rudeness once I realise what I’ve done.
