I said there would be a small riot.
There you go.
I find it interesting that there is discussion at all.

Ah well. If you think about it, it doesn’t really matter now anyway. shrugs At least not that I know of. Catina and Fretful are already out and so are Hal and Pleonast so it wouldn’t do much good anymore anyway, would it?
Hahaha, the people in here have to be scratching their heads over what we’re talking about.
Some things are better left as a surprise though. : D
Hi, everyone! Looks like I’m one of you now. Still on vacation, so I can’t participate actively.
Here was my Role pm:
Congratulations, you are the Martyr!
Shh… this is the secret role.
Martyr - In all your life, despite your hard work, you feel as though you haven’t amounted to much, and see yourself as little compared to the hard work of so many others in attempting to prevent the spread of the cult and so you are willing to lay your life on the line. You have kept these feelings to yourself, and thus no-one is aware of your desire for self-sacrifice. You may, at ANY time (Day or Night), prevent the death of a specific person at any time (even from a day vote) and substitute your life for theirs; if your target does not die, you may attempt again in the future. If you have voted for the Avatar, you will automatically receive the wrath of Sekham, ensuring that your more apt allies are protected. If you are forcibly converted by the Prophet, you will maintain your power.
Oh, meant to add: did I play my role well? Any comments?
Well, seeing that your role had effects during the Day AND the Night, you might have avoided the Disciple’s death. Other than that? Well played, sir!
(Oh, and you could have saved my life… at least once. Is that too much to ask?)
I don’t fully understand the role. Does ANY time mean you didn’t have to make a night choice, but were given the opportunity to veto each night kill before dawn?
I chose someone to protect each night. If they were the Cult’s target, they’d kill me instead. I also would automatically take the effect of the Avatar.
I came close to blocking the Cult twice. I protected storyteller and Fretful–the Night before they were killed. :smack: I didn’t bother to protect the Disciple–protecting the Apprentice was higher priority.
I tried to bluff the Cult against Night-killing me. You’ll have to ask them how well that worked, but I did stay alive until I sacrificed myself.
Well, Pleo, I argued strongly on the scum board that we shouldn’t night kill you. I also hoped that you were on our side, because we’re hurting pretty bad right now, and have been for a couple Days.
Yeah, I realized that about 3 minutes later…
I still feel like I did you wrong for breaking the rules. Sorry.
Well, don’t worry about it. In fact, you may have introduce a VERY interesting variable into the game, but I suppose that all depends on how Tonight goes.
sachertorte, I think you missed the full implication of what I set up.
This was taking an effective random kill and using it to the town’s advantage instead of the likely scum advantage.
We had a set of unknown people, of which half were scum and half were town. Using them to kill the Avatar would give us a 50/50 shot of taking out a scum. If we had taken out a townie it would reduce the pool in which the scum could hide. If we hit NAF1138, Pygmy Rugger or USCDiver, we would not need **MHaye ** to waste a night to see what they were.
Anyone not voting for **zuma v2 ** would out themselves as a Cultist and anyone arguing against it would be worthy of more investigation.
Also, if **Pleonast ** had not voted in that pool, then he would still be alive as a town power role which would be one more person to vote against the Cult and he would still be able to perform his protect at night.
I had guessed that he had some kind of Avatar block role, but without the details could not change the plan much.
So in essence, it was not just about killing a Cultist, it was also about using the Avatar to generate extra information for the town to use in finding the other Cultists.
And from the following slips it looked like it worked - just not quite in the way I intended
I think I understood what you were trying to do. I was just surprised that Blaster Master put in a randomization killer in the mix. Line one and line two of my comment are separate thoughts.
Dawn coming up at last - looks like the Cult has finally worked out what to do next after NAF1138 gets dunked
Pull up a chair Hockey Monkey, have some nachos and tell us all about what you got up to during the game
I wonder why the Cult went for you instead of MHaye. Probably because you can role block and they haven’t recruited yet.
Actually, the cult will be :smack: when they figure it out. Hockey Monkey was the worst move they could have done, next to killing an unconfirmed.
ETA: At this point, MHaye isn’t of much use, because both the Prophet and the potential recruit will show up however they did originally.
Oh, I know, I got the Juicy Gossip from Idle Thoughts
What **MHaye ** can do is confirm who is a non-believer and so point out who is a more likely target for dunking as a Cultist.
I think this game has turned to the town’s advantage.
Hi Guys…stopping in for some nachos before I try to catch up. Yeah the Cult are going to kick themselves in the head when they find out the whole truth.
Well, here’s my thought. The town seems to be running on the assumption that there is 1 Non-Believer and 1 Cultist remaining. Going by this logic, with a reading of Non-Believer, it gives only 50% certainty that the person is a Cultist when, if there’s a convert out there, the chance of shooting blind is 50% (because it is imposisble for Cookies to be converted). So, IME, unless someone decides there’s no other vanilla Non-Believers, the reading of Non-Believer means zilch.
Oh, I don’t think I should tell all just yet. But they should have went for Cookies.
