So does it seem to anyone else like those of us who are already dead have more interest in the outcome of this game than the players still in it? This thread is generating a lot more activity than that thread.
I guess it’s because the dead now outnumber the living by a large number.
Let’s get haunting!
Isn’t it obvious? Those that are still alive have been lurking the whole darn game, and not attracting enough attention to be killed!
I think everyone in the game is certain that their side is going to lose. I know the cult felt like we were on the brink of losing since about Night 5.
Town seems to feel the same way.
Actually I remarked on that in this thread.
I thought Idle should have made a separate claim from yours. In other words, he could either have claimed lone monk and/or involved another scum in his monkish claim. I personally would have gone for a lone monk claim. The result would have been similar (two scum lost) but it would have made for at least one wrong lynch as well.
Well that’s a good point, but with the Hockey Monkey case, it was too late. MHaye noticed HM was going for the non-believer win, but couldn’t do anything about it. In fact, it turned out best that he kept his mouth shut. If he spoke up, then town would have to take out HM (and possibly lose the game); as it was, scum did it for them.
I agree with the lone monk approach.
I don’t think Idle had any choice in choosing zuma a his monk pair. I think all the other scum had either voted for or were voted by Zeriel. This is certainly true for NAF.
Well the thing is, the plan was never to have one person claim 2 of us. It was supposed to be zuma claims and then Idle backs him up if needed.
That was the plan.
But hey, what ya gonna do?
That was the leverage I was counting on to not get lynched. They couldn’t lynch me knowing I was a notch in the town column.
NAF1138, that is something I don’t understand; “The cult felt they were losing since night 5”?
Given the lack of Cultists killed and the way the town was operating, I would have thought the Cult would have been rather happy with what was going on.
Yeah, I had a couple of Cultists tell me privately that they thought they had no chance of winning, and this was back when the four most recent dead Cultists were still alive. No one has yet been able to tell me why they felt so hopeless, given how far ahead on personnel they seemed to be by then.
Because of the number of claimables. We were about 2 Days away from being mathematically unable to win starting on Day 6 or so. All the town had to do was make the right choices. So our strategy from that point became, keep the town from making the game winning choice at all costs.
I think we have succeded in that respect.
I guess, when the game is over, would you mind explaining this in more detail? I just don’t see how this was the case, but freely acknowledge that I’m basically an idiot.
Sure.
At the start of day six there were
19 people: 5 Cultists, 8 claimables, 6 vanilla give or take 1 recruit.
So I can see the pool of people in which the Cult could hide beginning to run out.
However, you did have a night kill to reduce the number of claimables and at that point, if you felt threatened, why not kill Pleonast, Hockey Monkey or **Zeriel ** after they had claimed??
Mostly because we felt we couldn’t afford to miss, and we were afraid of the apprentice. Taking out Hal so early turned out to hurt us just a bit because it make the apprentice right all the time.
Recruitment negates claimables.
Now that’s just silly.
Because we didn’t know Pleo’s alignment, we (I) thought we could get Hockey lynched, and Zerial may or may not have been protected.
