Former VP Cheney hospitalized, resting comfortably.

Is the Pope American?

So, crowing about Cheney’s suffering (and potentially, his death) is bad form.

Assuming he dies, would it be wrong to celebrate the fact that he can no longer influence American politics?

He’s obviously coming back as a lich.

Well, fuck.

That all I wanted also. I thought that he would have the sense to do that after that Administration left in disgrace. Take a clue from Dubya. Go back to the ranch, shut up and figure out how you want to live the rest of your life. As much as I despised Dubya while he was President, my feelings towards him are not the same as my feelings towards Cheney.

But no. Dick had to keep on chirping. He couldn’t shut up and accept responsibility. At every turn he had to criticized the people that were left with cleaning up his mess. Therefore, it’s gloves-off as far as he is concerned. He’s a despicable person.

If Liz persists in carrying on her father’s battles and if for some strange reason people listen to her, then he’ll continue to influence politics from the seventh circle of hell.

Reagan, Bush, and Cheney all said deficits don’t matter. Then they governed as if they believed it. After they are done creating a mess. They presume they have the right to bitch about deficits during Obamas time. They did it. They should shut up while the adults try and fix things again.

Well, you’re mistaken, but your motives are good.

We are ALL mistaken at times, but there are a number of posters here whose “motives are good”. But this thread is an eye-opener as to how much hatred there is here (not necessarily unjustified, but a little embarrassing) … even from the supposedly-more-caring liberals.

As a Christian, I hope Cheney recovers because he is a fellow human being.

And because I want him to be able to walk to the witness stand under his own power.
