I predict the April races will get shit-canned, the way things are going right now…
I’m pretty excited, thinking back to 2014 though. So much uncertainty going into the first race, which sorta promised us a spicy season. Then it ended up being a total Mercedes blowout.
So far it’s looking like there’s going to be multiple strong teams but I guess we’ll know. And yeah, it’s a shame a bunch of the other early races are now in a war zone.
It’s time pull your head out of the oven and step down off that chair and unload your revolver, F1 is back this weekend!
Lots of buzz in preseason testing. Mercedes look to be the favorites of most of the pundits. But Ferrari is a close second! Leclerc had the fastest time in all of testing, Hamilton had some massive practice starts thanks to Ferrari’s use of a smaller turbo that spools up faster (now important since they axed the mgu-H), and thanks to the new active aero rules, even trialled a cool rear wing design that flips all the way upside down!
Other news, sauber is now Audi. And Bottas and Checo are back in F1’s newest team, Cadillac.
But the best news of all…sky sports let Danica Patric go! Woooooo!

Great. I just found out I need some Apple shit to watch F1. I pay $140/mo to Dish for about 3 channels that I watch just to get F1, and now its gone. I haven’t missed a race in over 40 years.
Somebody needs to tell me how to catch the races on my stupid 13” laptop (without lining Apple’s pockets).
Or it looks like it’s time to Quit It and Forget It. Everything I value in my shit life has been buried or degraded beyond repair. Why not my F1?
I signed up for Apple TV, but I don’t know if they are going to show the Sky Sports coverage of the races, or the F1 TV coverage. I hope it’s the F1 TV coverage.
Good news, it’s the F1TV coverage. Could do without the little Apple TV logo on the screen though.
Actually, looking at the Apple TV app, it looks like they have both Sky Sports and F1TV available. I hope I am looking at that correctly. It would be nice to be able to choose which to watch, though the latter has won me over.
Well, I did it. I degraded myself and turned to the Dark Side and signed up with A-HoleTV. It turns out my TV and internet are sufficient, so no apple hardware was needed, but Dammit! I’m pissed!
I guess it’s not the worst thing I’ve had to do to not miss a race… Keep things in perspective…

Don’t worry - apart from F1 you can watch all the good stuff on Apple TV in a weekend.
Apple TV has a lot of good TV shows. Ted Lasso, For All Mankind, Foundation, Shrinking, Severance, Silo, Slow Horses, Pluribus, and many more. Their movies are a lot more hit and miss.
It has both?!? I prefer sky personally, especially now that they’ve ditched Danica! If what you say is true, perhaps I’ll…do what needs to be done.

Apple TV subscription officially mooched off richer friend. After some fiddling, finally got sky sports playing. I suppose mooching a paid account is better than…questionably legal sites…right?

I will begrudgingly admit that Apple TV’s picture is pretty damn good, and it fills the entire 58” of the TV.
The folks on whatever feed I watched Qually on were far less annoying then the ones I’m used to.
