Formula One 2026

Exciting first third! Very intriguing second third. Maybe kind of a snoozer last third. But I’m excited for Russell! A closer championship is only a good thing!

It was a good race. I love the drone shots following behind the cars. It’s amazing to me that they can keep up with the cars so well. The operators flying them are clearly very skilled.

Although in the first few races I was pleased that the new regs made the racing more exciting and competitive, I’ve decided that I’m really not that fond of this new hybrid formula.

As I’ve mentioned before, I spent more than a dozen years driving my sports car on race tracks, so I have a pretty fair understanding of race driving techniques.

But the techniques the drivers have to use to manage the electric power have become too complex and arcane. Read this article about "super clipping" and tell me that you think this kind of thing makes the racing more interesting.

I’ll keep watching, but I just don’t feel as connected to the driving experience as I did under previous regulations.

I’d be willing to bet Kimi had no idea who it was who presented and signed his Pole Tire Trophy. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I didn’t watch the ceremony, so I don’t know, either. Who was it?

I think it was one of the New York Knicks. I just get the feeling a 19 year old Italian F1 star had ever heard of him. What do I know?

I just found the photo op kinda humorous. Kimi seemed to have a bewildered look on his face.

“The Pirelli Pole Position Award was presented to Kimi Antonelli by Maduka Okoye, goalkeeper for Udinese and the Nigeria national team.”

Well within my margin of error for total misinformation.

Wow! What a crazy finish. I feel kinda bad for Lewis. Soooo close to a 1-2 for Ferrari.

Gutted again for Kimi! But also again, a closer championship makes everything better!

And I’ll take a finish behind the safety car over whatever bullshit that was in 2021.

Yeah. That would have been Epic if Kimi could have kept it on the track and in the points. That late safety car really mixed shit up.

Exactly. Despite the protestations of the announcers, I was not looking forward to a re-start for a one lap cluster-fuck. I hate to see good races ruined by that shit.

Spa! I watched the FP1 and 2 with the sound off. Works for me.

Qualifying was pretty exciting. Some amazing tactics by Red Bull that paid off for them. Should be a good race tomorrow.

Yeah, it was so close that it almost seem like they botched it! But it worked out. Fun to watch for sure.

Qualy today had a fishy smell. I mean, I understand how it can happen, but I thought it was strictly against the rules to post a better time with a yellow flag on the track. I’d be interested in seeing just how much Lando lifted in the last corner and the run to the finish. That was the weirdest shit I’ve seen in a while. How much ahead was he that he could lift and still improve? Doesn’t seem right. I watched a little of the post-session blather, and nobody said Boo about it.

I’m starting to feel sorry for Lewis. Can’t seem to keep from running over his dick every weekend.

The track was giving everybody fits thru the practice sessions.

The exact same thing happened a month ago, you may find a little bit more of an explanation from that race.

Yeah, I watched that. This seemed a little different…

Oh well. I’m sure they got it right.

Budapest was a pretty damn good watch right up till Oscar dropped out and it got queered into Dullsville for the last 1/3 of the race.

I enjoyed it all, except watching Ferrari, especially Ham, step on their own dicks again was tough to watch.

Pretty interesting race, great drive for Norris, and a good call by Red Bull not to pit under the VSC. A nice move by Oscar to take the lead early on even if it came to nothing. Good to see Aston Martin making some progress, and as always the Cadillacs were on fire.

And I am happy to have Malaysia back, if even it’s only for this year.
