Wow. For being a bore for 95% of the running, I said two things I never thought I’d say…“awe, I feel bad that verstappen is out” and “oh thank god for stroll!”
That being said, I’m really impressed with Kimi! I’ll not be sad when he wins the championship.
They certainly did it seems, at least for Chuck. Poor guy.

That was a whole lotta boring followed by a whole lotta boring chaos.
Also, what happened to the road at turn 19? Never got a great explanation from F1TV.
A recently applied asphalt patch started to break up, littering the track around it with little “pebbles” that were as slippery as the rubber “marbles” normally cast off by tires during the course of a race.
It may not have caused either of the crashes; Stroll was probably just going too fast, and Leclerc claimed it was a brake problem. IMHO, Leclerc is mistaken.
I’m still wondering what was causing all the pit speed violations, even after drivers were warned to be sure to slow down before the line. Alpine is appealing Gasly’s penalty, saying data from the car proves he wasn’t speeding.
Found an explanation:
The crew who broadcast for the AppleTV feed explained it pretty well shortly after the race. These guys are slightly less annoying than David Croft. David Coulthard is a poor replacement for Martin Brundle however. But, No Danica! 
So an overall win.
There’s no danica anywhere now! I watch Sky’s coverage (on Apple TV) for Martin Brundle mostly. Crofty doesn’t bother me all that much. However I do like that Sam guy (is that his name) that does the tech talk stuff for F1’s official coverage.

Kind of slow burn at first. But that got real interesting real quick during the mid race. I really enjoyed that, despite being gutted for Kimi.
I was convinced..CONVINCED, that Ferrari blew it as they’ve been know to do when they didn’t bring ham in immediately when that vsc was called. But fairplay to them, they got it done.

Whoa! I haven’t been paying attention too closely. Hamilton is in second place now! He’s just been quietly racking up points.
I was never a big fan of him, but now that he’s driving for The Correct Team, I’d love to see him take the fight to the finish and bring home an Historic 8th Crown! Get Chuck on the ball and bring home the Manufactures title too!
And barely. VSC ended just as Hamilton left the pits. 15 seconds earlier and Russell would have taken the lead, though I don’t think it would have mattered. Hamilton was on a mission once they changed out the softs.
An interesting factoid I stumbled upon… Hamilton is now both the 8th youngest and 7th oldest race winner.
Want a stupid pointless factoid? I counted 6 of the 22 drivers 3-letter name abbreviations form stand-alone 3 letter words. Maybe 7 if you count “Nor”.
