If you’re using AppleTV, you can link your F1TV app to your AppleTV account and use it instead. I highly recommend it, because the AppleTV app is trash, and the F1 “section” is even worse.
A lot of people are complaining about this regulation. I agree with the drivers that they should have more control and some regulations regarding deployment and recharging should be fixed, but the racing is much better than the DRS era.
And Verstappen has to drive a shitbox for the first time in his career. I’m not surprised he was making noise about quitting after two whole races.
Great race! Exciting from start to finish! Max was sort of a prick, but nothing too serious. Leclerc with a last lap spin. Good times!
Also, I’m loving the flippity wings on the Ferrari’s and now also the red bulls. But I loath that the media has glommed on to calling it “macarena wing”
Good sprint race in Montreal. Didn’t work out for Kimi, but it wasn’t for lack of trying. Nice to see that the McLaren can be competitive against Mercedes as well.
Probably a wet track today (Sunday) for Montreal’s race. The start delay until 4 pm (so not conflicting with the Indy 500) may cut down the chances of rain. Cold weather (12 C or 54 F) - will be miserable being a spectator.
There is also problems with wildlife on the track. Raccoons and groundhogs abound in the area - attempts are being made to humanely remove them to a nearby area.
Red-flagged, and the front is now less than 15 miles away and approaching rapidly; they’ll need to clear the track and get the green flag dropped ASAP, or it will be red-flagged (or checkered as said) for an hour+.
I’ve used F1TV the past few years, comes with AppleTV now, I think at the same price point. It gives live racing, replays, and condensed versions, as well as pre-weekend, analysis, random shows (Tech Talk is fantastic), plus F2, F3, F1 Academy, and all race replays back to the 80s.
