Forum jumping question

At home I use AOL 7.0 w/IE 5.5 (no comments, please). When I use the “Forum Jump” box, I have to hit the “Go” button to get to the desired forum. At work, I use AOL 6.0 and IE 5.0. When I do the same thing, I find that I don’t have to hit the “Go” button. The jump is automatic.
What am I missing?

Well, it can’t be IE 5.5 'cause that’s what I’m using, and it jumps automatically, without clicking on Go.

Have you got javascript enabled?

…and my ISP is MSN.

I’m going to ask other posters to chime in here with suggestions, because I’m inclined to just write it off as browser version vagaries. When people ask me “why does this browser behave differently that that browser for this web page?” I usually just  (I don’t know a lot about web page scripting, PHP, java, etc…) and say “If the IPU wanted all browsers to behave the same she would have created them that way.”

After some experimenting, I found it to be scripting-related. I usually have it turned off at home. Unfortunately, a couple of vital sites I use require that I turn it back on.

Thansk for the suggestion, Hawthorne
