"Free NP" on back of trucks

“Free N.P.”

I’ve seen this written in the dirt/grime on the backs of many different 18-wheel trucks (for a couple of years now), but a Google/SDMB search turned-up nothing. Does anyone know what this refers to?

A quick google search by me found a bunch of mics technical stuff,so I refined my search, thinking that NP might be someone in jail, and I got a bunch of gay male sex sites.

Apperantly there is a computer fetish game called NeoPets that I do not want to know any more about. Thats the only reference to “Free NP” that I could find that didn’t deal with contact lenses, intregal calculus, molucular biology, the topography of sentance structure (I am not making these up) or the likes. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the messages you are seeing though.

You don’t live near Boston, do you? Because it was some sort of radio promotion there.

Guess you don’t have to live near Boston - looks like it was originally an Opie and Anthony gag…

TMINC , I do live near Boston, and your explanation does make sense.

They also were the originators of “Whip’em Out Wednesday”, and they had bumper stickers & signs on cars that read “WOW” to encourage women to, well, show their boobs to other fellow motorists. I’m not a listener to their program, but I do remember the “WOW” bumper stickers & signs.

I’ve only seen “Free NP” on the backs of various trucks. I actually thought is was some sort of political statement. Thanks for clearing up this mystery to me!

“Fetish game”? I think you are confused. NeoPets is a virtual pet gamesite. What fans do offsite is none of my business (or anyone else’s), but there is no fetishism ON the site iteself. You (or the sites that told you about NeoPets) may be conflating that with Furries–an altogether weirder group.
