Friday night drunkdopeTM

Who else is with me? I’ve having relationship issues, career issues, responsibility issues, and magazine issues! Nothing like beer to help it all along. (Eonwe is finishing off a 12 pack of corona that’s been sitting in the fridge for a few weeks leftover from a BBQ).

Since I’m drunk, I think I’ll remove some clothing. That’s what drunk people do, isn’t it?

Eonwe, you live so close to me! I’d invite you up for a drink, but you’re wasted.

And so am I.

I have to leave for Ottawa tomorrow, to visit my parents. I should be sleeping. But I’m up, and in infomercial hell.

Then I’m going to get to Ottawa (after snoring loudly on the bus), and I’ll have to do laundry right away. Then they’ll whisk me off to a Japanese steakhouse for a very expensive dinner with flying knives and stuff.

UGH.

Be sure to post pictures, eonwe. Inquiring minds want to know.

OK, so I’m a bit drunk now. All I have to say is that my damn chin hurts and I need a new pair of eyeglasses, but I think everything has stopped bleeding. I wish I wasn’t so damn stupid when drunk. And I have to be up in six hours. Someday I’ll learn.

Scott, Look out for those flying knives. My step grandmother (since deceased) was almost blinded by an errent spatula! I think either a Montreal or Burlington dopefest is in order soon.

Peyote Coyote, pictures are available on my website for a modest fee of $29.95 per photo.

waterj2, bleeding? Everything all right down there? We don’t need to call 911 do we? I also need eyeglasses, as the computer screen is having trouble staying in focus for more than 3 seconds or so. Go to bed dude!

Is there anything to do in Burlington? Come on.

You’re still up? I’m still up? Bizarre.

Anyway, the flying knives is kind of cool. They kind of juggle them in the air, retrieve them, and cut the meat into small pieces. Then they set the whole griddle-thing on fire for a second. It’s quite entertaining, and the food is incredible.

Hey hey! Watch it! Burlington is the most happeningest place in all of Burlington! Er… um… yeah. We had a very successful dopefest here last fall, thank you very much. I am so going to bed right now. I can hardly sit up straignth at this point (3:30 AM). Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

(By the way Scott, very eloquent post in your “ex-boyfriend inventory on a Saturday AM,” thread.

Oh, sweet sleep!

Yeah, well…

My head is still a bit cloudy. I had to call my parents to tell them when I’d be arriving in Ottawa. They’re like, “Are you OK?” and I said, “Yeah, just a bit tired.” I’ll probably sleep on the bus. I’m taking a cab to the bus station to buy myself some time. Taking the metro would take longer.

They made dinner reservations for 5:30. 5:30!!!. Isn’t that a bit early? “We figured you’d be hungry.” Whatever. OK I love my parents dearly, but by the time I get in, I’ll have about two hours to get ready for the flying knives at the Japanese place. I wanted to do laundry and stuff, but that will have to wait.

I shouldn’t even be online right now. I should be packing. Damn this message board! It’s too addictive! It’s like virtual crack.

waterj2, did you fall off yer bike?

Dammit, I hate you drunk people. All of you, y’hear me?

I didn’t get drunk on Friday night. Now it’s Saturday, and I’m not getting drunk. I’m STUDYING! I got offered a ticket to a really cool concert, and there would’ve been a party afterwards, but no, i’m STUDYING! I’m sick of it! I’m over it! I don’t wanna know about the cell-mediated immune response. I couldn’t give a rat’s arse about the possible consequences of venous thromboembolism. I DON"T WANNA STUDY ANY MORE!!!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Feel (very marginally) better now. Got to get back to work.
:frowning:

Burlington is right outside of Winooski, where all the hippest bands play. Montréal isn’t even above radar.

I still owe you a beer Eonwe, don’t think I’ve forgotten. If the weather (ever) gets nice, I’ll need drinking buddies because duty-free beer is only sold in cases of 24 and I can’t bring any back into Canada. Where’s the “drinkin’ beach” in Burlington?

All I know is I Loaded up the Keggerator with a fresh keg friday night, and woke up naked on Sunday.

Hm… I thought I owed you a beer :D!

As far as drinking in Burlington, I guess that depends on what kind of place you’re looking for. I’m a big fan of the VT Pub and Brewery. It’s 3.50 for a pint of their beer, but of course, their beer is the only beer they serve (which isn’t a problem, 'cause it’s very good). It’s a pretty mellow place. If you’re into places a little more raucous, I’ve got suggestions for that as well.

Comming down to Winooski to see any shows soon?
