I can’t get the full quote, since it came from the 700 Club. Anyway, FoG has already said that the original context doesn’t matter, since Pat Robertson can still be a Christian even if he’s racist.
What did I actually say in response to his “clearly stated explanations”? Let’s take a look at the same thread:
So not only did I not ignore his explanations, but I also said, in effect, “We don’t agree with you but thanks for clearing up where you’re coming from.”
Unsurprisingly, FoG has decided to studiously ignore this thread and let his false accusations stand. Oh well…
Oh, Ben, you could have a thousand Pit threads, and they’d all say basically the same thing - FriendofGod is an ignorant Jeezer determined not to let reality color his belief system. I got over it a while ago - my recommendation is to do the same.
However, from time to time playing with him like a cat plays with a ball of string can sometimes be amusing.
TVeblen, I must continue the hijack briefly to correct a false imagining on your part.

I believe we are in agreement on the content of the majority of Pat Robertson utterances.
Therefore, I submit to you that Pat Robertson has a diametrically opposed investment strategy to the bear.
[sub]For the sarcasm-impaired, contemplate how much more clarity is given this post by noting the second and nineteenth letters of the alphabet, and equating them to the object of the next-to-last sentence.[/sub]
Irresitible Force, meet Immovable Object; Immovable Object, meet Irresitible Force. I’m sure you two will have lots to talk about.
Ben, a piece of advice; some people don’t want to be educated. If they don’t want it, no amount of prodding or cajoling or other attempts will convince them otherwise. It isn’t that you’ve lost the battle, there’s no battle to be fought. Foggie is convinced he’s right and nothing will move him from that position.
What little bear-lore I’ve learned thus far only inspires respect. They’re admirably peaceful unless threatened, placidly co-existing if given half a chance. In fact their investment goals seem wrapped around being left in peace, enjoying life and producing more strong, happy bears if possible.
Pat Robertson doesn’t come off well in comparison, does he? He insists on splatting out unnaturally noxious emissions and then rolling in them.
Perhaps you’ve never lived in the boondocks with them as I have. They have an unfortunate tendency to knock over trash cans and strew garbage all over the place…which, it seems to me, brings us back to Pat Robertson.
You got that right! Heck, I even accepted his apology he unwitting gave and yet he just accused Ben and me (the ineffable they in FoGgianese) of still hurling accusatory comments at him.
What the heck is the FoGgianese word for “flat out liar”?
