Looking back, I can think of only one relationship that I’d consider to be FWB. I voted “so-so” not because the sex wasn’t great (it was), but because the friendship wasn’t great. We had little in common other than occasional (or at times, frequent) no-holds-barred, no-strings-attached boinking. Had there been no Benefits, it’s unlikely we would have been Friends.
Not that I’m complaining. Historically I’ve never lacked for friends, while there’ve been plenty of times I’ve lacked for sexual partners, so the arrangement suited me just fine. In fact, can I change my answer?
