A pretty average episode, but it is fun to have Walter back again.
Remind my wife and me. Why did Peter come back to our universe again?
I thought it was pretty unlikely that Fauxlivia would be able to get Peter out of her apartment to the crime scene without seeing that rather large stream of blood coming from her bathroom.
How long are we going to have this 2 Olivias storyline? It’s…OK, but I want my core group back again.
To anyone ignorant of the website Polite Dissent, I highly recommend it, especially for fans of House and Fringe. For each new episode that airs, an article is dedicated to a breakdown of the science, usually exposing how poorly researched or blatantly falsified TV science gets. With Fringe, bad science is part of its charm, but it’s an interesting read regardless.
I’ve been wondering for a while now if Bishop would get Massive Dynamic. Of course I’m assuming that he’s 50/50 owner with Nina. At least that seems the fair thing to do. I’m also assuming that because of the envelope she got.
Remind me, do we know whether or not Fauxlivia had the Cortexifan (or whatever it’s called) treatments? She must’ve, because she was the conduit to bringing them across from the other universe to this one, right?
Fauxlivia just does not roll off the tongue, it is cumbersome and has no comportment.
I think what may trip up Bolivia was hinted at in this episode. She was viewing something about Olivia on a laptop and commented, “She has a photographic memory, how am I going to fake that?”
I got the impression that Olivia B never lived in Jacksonville where the Cortexifan experiments took plan. I doubt that the Cortexifan experiments ever took place on the alternate Earth without William Bell.
Something else that has been bothering me is the picture of Henry the cab driver’s family. He is shown laying it on the car at the gas station and it gets some camera time.
I can’t really tell from the picture but I will ask, is it possible that Henry’s wife is the alternate Astrid? She was only shown briefly at the end of the last season.
I am thinking that Henry is not out of the picture and that there is a reason.
She was also shown briefly in the season premiere, and is definitely not the woman in that photograph.
Wasn’t it because Walternate wanted to stick him in the big scary device? Also, he might’ve been born in the redverse, but he spent most of his life in the blueverse, so really, that’s home to him.
I have to say, Anna Torv pulls off playing her own doppleganger a lot better than that girl on the Vampire Diaries does. I don’t know how Peter can’t tell that Olivialt isn’t Olivia. I’m half wondering if he hasn’t already put it together and is just playing along to find out more about what she and Walternate are up to. I guess we’ll see!
And how awesome is it that Walter’s trying to get the cow to make chocolate milk? Now that’s science!
I guess I didn’t hear him clearly enough. I don’t know about other people, but if I ran a company for a guy who was away for years, only to have him leave it to someone else when he died, well, I wouldn’t be very happy about it. But that’s just me.
Yeah, I was sitting here confused about the complaints of Fauxlivia being cumbersome or not rolling off the tongue. They must not know that faux and foe are homophones. Heh. Reminds me of Shia Lebeouf pronouncing epitome as epitoam instead of epituhmee.
I’m just posting to show some love for Eric the Midget, one of Howard Stern’s wackpackers. He was the little guy in the subway.
Me too. I think people making the complaint are trying to pronounce it FoxLivia instead of Folivia.
Am I the only one who is frustrated, rather than excited about the fact that our Olivia (how much would people bitch if I lobbied for calling her Ourlivia? heh) is trapped still. This episode was okay, but it didn’t move towards resolving anything.
Mostly I’m annoyed that Peter is too stupid to notice that he’s not with the right girl. Most of the time when characters are too stupid to notice that person X is a fake they don’t know that there is a double. Peter doesn’t have that excuse. I’m only going to be happy with him if it’s revealed that he was just playing along to lull Fauxlivia into thinking that her mission is going well - if he pulls a knife on her and says Olivia doesn’t like music all will be forgiven.
It’s so cliche for plots like that to resolve quickly. I wouldn’t mind it playing out a few more episodes. I think it would be to long if they carry it over to next season, but a few more this season wouldn’t hurt.
Also, while I think about it, the watchers haven’t done anything lately. It would be nice to see them doing something.
Also, if anybody’s interested, this is an interesting site Fringe Spoilers. Despite its name it really doesn’t give away any spoilers of importance. More like hints and clues. The first thing on the page is pretty funny.
Heh. Even worse is that Peter’s already seen people taken over by shapeshifters. You’d think our intrepid heroes would have set up a simple codeword to verify their own true identity the moment they found out that a shapeshifter took over that cop last season.
IF Peter stops being an idiot and figures it out soon, a few more episodes would be fine. Several more episodes of him not knowing there is an issue would be highly stupid.
