I think a critical difference between the warmongers and those opposed is the value of “other” human lives. Sure, they’ll say they believe all lives are equally valuable, and they may even deceive themselves… but the dead of other cultures (and/or religions/ethnicities/races etc.) just don’t feel the same to them. American or Israeli lives, for example, are necessarily sacred and precious, and when they die the warmonger really can feel it and feel terrible about it… but Gazan lives? Venezuelan lives? Just statistics. Sure, it’s bad when they die, but they can’t really imagine that the suffering those deaths cause (both to the dead and surviving families/communities) the same way they can personally feel the deaths of their preferred groups. They just don’t matter as much. They’ll swear over and over again that they do, but when they can brush off dozens of dead over some incredibly vague justification like “Maduro was bad!”, it shows they don’t truly matter that much to them. They can’t imagine the grief from the families of the dead, and the trauma to the surviving wounded, and such. Maduro is bad, and therefore the deaths are an okay trade.
You are the one who’s happy to condemn Gazans and Venezuelans to life under a brutal dictatorship so long as you don’t have to witness their suffering on the evening news because of a war, you whiny piece of shit. It’s clear that you are the one tho whom their lives mean absolutely nothing except for when you can use their deaths as a political slogan. That’s why you don’t give a flying fuck about any of the much more destructive ongoing wars and genocides, such as Sudan; those deaths aren’t politically expedient for you, so you completely ignore them. And then you pretend to moralize as if you actually care. It’s honestly pathetic.

I maintain that the one and maybe only difference between liberals and MAGA conservatives is empathy. They don’t have it, and don’t understand it. I would go so far as to say you cannot be a MAGA if you have empathy, it is impossible.
