From what I’ve read, most of Venezuela’s oil isn’t even worth extracting right now, because the price of crude is too low to justify the expenses of rebuilding the infrastructure and processing it. I heard on the radio at work just now that the UN Security Council posted a protest memo. It said the US was wrong in taking President Maduro and that it was in the context of Venezuela’s policies.
I’m outraged about the limp nature of the memo. If the UN wants peace, they should sanction my government and stick it to us. They can stop being pragmatic already.
