Just a reminder, by the way: When they do background checks for security clearances, being gay, trans, cross-dressing, kinky, or whatever is not, itself, a red flag. But being closeted about any of those things is, because it opens you up to potential blackmail.
I’d bet a ten-spot she made her husband sit in a chair in the corner wearing his big fake titties while Lewandoswki boned her.
He’s still travelling with her despite not having any official or unofficial government role. Just took a trip to Guyana with her
Coincidentally, I just had to renew my security clearance today. One of the questions was:
“Have you ever been a member of an organization that advocates or practices commission of acts of force or violence to discourage others from exercising their rights under the US Constitution or any state of the United States with the specific intent to further such action?”
Since I was never a Republican, I could truthfully say “no”.
If I were, I wonder if they’d accept “I was pardoned”?
“I don’t know anything about it” is Trump’s stock answer to questions about embarrassing and/or illegal activities involving MAGAites.
And pleading ignorance is an amazing appropriate defense, because it’s so damn credible for this person.
From the Raw Story article:
“President Donald Trump was reportedly shocked after a scandal broke out involving former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s husband, Byron Noem, who has had an alleged fetish for cross-dressing and could have compromised national security, the president told The Daily Mail on Tuesday.”
[bolding mine]
There. His dignity has been amply defended.
Was for me.
“I haven’t seen anything. I don’t know anything about it. That’s too bad, but I just know nothing about it,” Trump said.
So in other words, he did know - they knew the story was about to break in the Daily Mail so he fired her ahead of time.
That sort of attitude is way, way too woke™. Report now to the nearest processing center.
TBF he’s quite probably correct.
Look, with respect to the Noems, I don’t judge other people’s kink, and I don’t think anyone should. This is something internal to their marriage for them to decide. It’s none of my business if someone finds personal and sexual fulfillment by killing a dog and then a goat.
To be real, it is much more probable that he is lying, and that her removal was a failed preemptive strike.
Or they knew all along and it was the kompromat they were holding over until they didn’t need her anymore.
As if she needed to be pushed to get her to do everything Trump wanted and more. Sorry, that one doesn’t pass the smell test for me.
Ick. No doubt.
The scariest revelation is that Bryon Noem is an insurance salesman!
I don’t buy for a second that Trump needed to have dirt on Noem to make her be evil.
But I find it extremely plausible that he collected it anyway and then leaked it to the press, just to be a dick.
I doubt it. She got fired a few weeks ago and the story is just coming out now. If this were the New York Times or something, I might think that the delay was due to the need for rigorous fact-checking before going to press. The Mail? LOL.
What the hell is wrong with these people?
If that is bigoted of me, so be it.
Each and every person Trump is involved with has baggage that is odd, weird, maybe illegal.
I just cannot wait for the war crimes trials. I have one wish to live long enough to be able to see them. Live on my TV.
I do wonder if Byron Noem may have been dealing with some crap load of insecurity, fear for his life, loss of his personal control and was getting some sense of autonomy from his online activities.
It’s clear to me that the Noems had been leading separate lives for some time. She pursued a career in politics; he apparently largely stayed home at the farm.
