I don’t understand car alarms of that sensitivity on an SUV. It’s a fucking monster of a vehicle. Someone breathing within 10 feet of it will not harm it. So why is your FUCKING ALARM SET FOR THAT LEVEL OF SENSITIVITY!?
If you live in a residential area where the lots are smaller than an acre square, having a vehicle alarm that goes off when squirrels run across the sidewalk beside it should be illegal.
nisosbar, my sympathies. One of my neighbors has a max sensitivity SUV. Damn thing goes off for thunderstorms (full siren alarm) and nearby cars starting (multiple chirps). And as if that’s not good enough, it goes off EVERY DAMN MORNING, emitting anything from repeated warning chirps to the full alarm, when its owner leaves for work. Apparently she doesn’t know how to get into her own vehicle without setting the alarm off.
I think she’s going to be seeing some creatively worded messages stuck to her windshield in the near future.

You’re lucky! I have a herd of those damned SUVs parked right outside my bedroom window. Every single one is set to such sensitivity you can’t even think about walking past them without getting chirped.
The herd was culled of one member about a week ago when the repo man came for it. I cackled with great glee. Didn’t mind the chirping and alarm going off that time!
