Besides being racist assholes, there’s one other point to the two pics of the same Confederate flag that I’ve seen linked to here.

That flag is the Confederate flag, but it has the silhouette of an assault rifle imposed on it, and at the bottom are the words “Come and Take It.”

This was taken from the Come and Take It flag from the Texas Revolution in the 1830s, against Mexico. That flag usually is white with a black cannon and the words at the bottom.

So not only are they using Confederate imagery in Michigan, they’re appropriating Texas pride imagery.

I think you missed my post above about ID which is solidly in red. And, I just saw pics on Facebook of protests in Lewiston, ID.

ID hasn’t had a Democratic governor since the great Cecil Andrus back in the 80-90s.

The local news, in covering the Michigan. event, interviewed a young girl (maybe 8 years old) who was a part of the protest. She feigned indignance at being restricted from gathering with her friends. She said her civil rights were being taken away from her and that it was not fair.

It was at this point my emotions went from anger to profound sadness.
