It’s important to note that many in that classic thread suggested publication of the OP, and it was in fact published.
Post #23 in this thread was the beginning of my unrequited infatuation with Terrifel.
One of my favorite recent examples is watching the Doper population of Portland attempt to ward off invasion from the south in So Tell Me About Portland, OR
There was a thread I wouldn’t begin to know how to search for. I think the OP had asked for stories about pooping on oneself. The post that stands out in my memory (though I don’t remember the name of the poster, for which she might be grateful) related how she had an episode of explosive diarrhea in the shower. It was a scream.

Well, there was the unfortunate case of diarrhea in the jacuzzi. It’s funny (if you’re not the OP) and disturbing.
