On my way into work today I heard two gems on NPR:
“I can’t sleep thinking about all these senseless women and children getting killed!”
My personal favorite comes from someone in San Francisco:
“Why are they arresting us? I’m obeying my first amendment right to civil disobedience!”
Anyone else have any to share?
Our local paper used this quote from a pro-war person: “It’s an eye for an eye,” said [this person]. “They had no consideration for our people so why should we have consideration for them? I hate to kill innocent people but they didn’t take our innocent people into consideration either.”
Huh? Who is she referring to? I have a suspicion she’s one of those dunderheads who think that Saddam was the mastermind for 9/11.
On CNN today I saw someone at a protest in San Francisco bearing a sign that quite clearly said, “WAR IS BAD” and nothing else.
I feel certain this bit of ironclad logic will convert many people to her side.
