This movie is playing on the “This” network tonight. I’ve never seen it but the woman who plays the watermelon lady was from my hometown. One of her daughters was in my class. Her husband taught my 6th grade class. My mother never had anything good to say about her and my conclusion is that she was extremely jealous of her. I’m looking forward to seeing her three seconds on screen.
Funny. We just canceled cable and now we have access to “THIS.” LOVE it! I, too, noticed that this was on, but skipped it because I’d never heard of it.
I saw it when it came out and loved it. I don’t remember much about it anymore, but I was about 19, and it was the sixties, and I think maybe they both worked together to make it enjoyable.
