Game Apps(Andriod and Iphone) Christmas sales.

Lots of Apps going on sale this week, at least on Itunes. Let’s post the best deals we have found. Android is fine, too.

Oh, I hear that Apple “freezes its store” at the end of the year. What does this mean? They lock prices in? From when to when this year? Looks like a few companies have reduced prices right at the end of the year.

Super Monkey Ball - 99 cents

Super Monkey Ball 2 - 99 cents

King of Dragon Pass - $7.99, down from $9.99

Chaos Rings Omega - $5.99, down from $11.99

Chaos Rings - $6.99, down from 12.99

Final Fantasy III - $11.99, down from $15.99(first price drop ever)

Pocket RPG - 99 cents, down from $2.99

Rimelands: Hammer of Thor - 99 cents, down from $4.99
What else have you seen?

Not that I’m advertising for them, but AppShopper tracks price changes daily, and if you register, you can keep a “wish list” of apps you want to buy when the price drops and the site will notify you.

This is what I use as well.

Zenonia 1 through 4 are now free.

Zenonia 4 just came out today, too.

I got an iTunes gift card from my gf for Christmas and picked up a bunch of stuff on the cheap for my iPod:
Dead Space
Prince of Persia retro (they just released an update which makes it much easier to control)
Mini Motor Racing 3rd person car racing similar to Death Rally, Horror Racing, etc.
I Dig It Expeditions (haven’t played it yet but the original I Dig It was something like Dig Dug but more complicated and fun. There’s no enemies but you have to deal with fuel, damage from banging your ship around, etc. and there’s a ton of upgrades you can buy.)
Plants vs Zombies
Riptide (sort of a Hydro Thunder clone)
The Bard’s Tale (think it is supposed to be identical to the other versions of this game except for touch controls.)
Rise of the Triad (Oldie but goodie)
Conan Tower of the Elephant (3rd person action RPG but i am not loving this one so far because it crashed 5 times in the first 15-20 mins)
Dink Smallwood (old school top down RPG)
Grand theft Auto III (only spent a half hour on it so far but it looks and plays amazing)

Also, for those interested: Bungie’s Marathon and sequel #1, Durandal, are now both out as free universal apps. Since I never owned a Mac but have heard how good these games were supposed to be, I snapped them up. Played the first few areas of Marathon so far, seems similar to Doom but more interesting (has an actual story).

Just a heads-up - the Bard’s Tale is identical to the 2004 video game, not the 1980s version. Which was great for me as I no longer owned a computer that could play the 2004 version, but some old-school gamers might feel otherwise.

Oh yeah, I was going to mention that but forgot. It would be nice to see the original series on iOS too though.
