I would’ve preferred it happened after he was stripped for the bedding; that’d be a nice call-back to when he tried to have Sansa stripped naked & beaten in the throne room.
Yes, Queen Daenerys went around emancipating slaves en masse, but she also didn’t give any though as to what would happen to them afterward. Many of them, like the pedagogue who begged her to be allowed to sell himself back to his former master, ended up a lot worse of as freedman then they were as slaves.
The man who was walking on the road at the beginning of the film is troubled to hear that a woman who had been mysteriously abducted ten years ago, on the day of her First Communion, has just committed suicide. He drinks heavily and eventually goes home. He dies of a heart attack, having seen a vision of the little girl whom he, presumably, kidnapped and traumatized - raped? - years before.

The main character is played by the future Ser Davos Seaworth, Stannis’s Hand; the bartender is Catelyn Stark; one of the guys shooting pool is Littlefinger.
