Well, for one thing, I can’t see any way that the mystery of Jon Snow’s parentage is ever going to be solved now, or even that it really matters any more. Which is strange given how it seemed to be the gun in the first act.
It also occurs to me that House Baratheon has effectively been wiped off the face of the earth, right? Robert is dead, Stannis is dead, and Renly is dead. Were there any other Baratheons? Who’s in charge of Dragonstone and the Baratheon kingdom now?
As soon as Cersei entered the castle, I thought she might say, “Kill them all.” But perhaps not; I don’t think she was entirely faking her contrition (although she didn’t fess up to the incest). I think the sparrows broke her.
Or she misinterpreted the Lord of Light. Maybe Stannis isn’t really king, so Shereen’s blood didn’t really have any magic?
Oh, I don’t think she’s broken at all.
I think she will unleash her inner Joffrey.
Well the snow stopped damn near immediately. That was such a perfect devil’s bargain, Stannis got what he wanted but got fucked anyways.
I rather doubt that Stannis is dead. Outside of Shireen, this series seems to make it a point of showing the demise of major characters in gory detail. For this reason, I’m betting that the Hound is alive as well.
why would Brienne not finish off Stannis? Even if she left him alone he was in real bad shape anyway and likely would have died soon.
They did not show Ned’s beheading. I believe they cut to Arya.
Not all vows come to pass on the show, but I think- and even sort of hope- that Cersei will definitely revisit the septa.
Arya really should have read the new employee handbook’s policy on moonlighting.
Is Drogon seriously injured or just tired or just stubborn?
I dunno, maybe she needs him to help get Sansa out. Do your duty he said, her duty was not revenge it was protecting the Stark kids. There is no reason to cut away from the death blow otherwise, when has that happened before? Any deaths that are not explicitly shown are at least heard, like Shireen or Syrio.
as noted above they did not show Ned Stark’s death
They showed the sword dripping blood and gore and thousands of people watched him die and they showed his decapitated head.
tl; dnr;
Big props to Lena Headey for baring it all for “The Passion of the Cersei.” As much as I hate the character, that was tough to watch.
No way would Brienne have left him alive; this was the first time she was able to fulfill a promise she had made.
Why did the Red Woman want to have sex with Jon Snow (yeah, yeah, who WOULDN’T?) But maybe SHE knows his lineage? Doesn’t she need royal blood? Was Ned Stark sufficiently royal? Could the theories about Jon and being a Targaryen be true?
I absolutely could be wrong. Sparing him wouldn’t make much sense given his confession.
And Biggirl is right. I could’ve sworn that Ned’s head rolled. Ah well. I’ll shut up now.:smack:
Err… was i the only one to notice the very obvious CGI? the blurry neck and head size not always matching body proportions? the at least ten year difference between the face and body? there was nothing of Lena Headley in that scene besides her head. I do wish i could find out who the body double was for the back shots though.
Tommen?
