Eastwatch? Is the Night Army just gonna walk around the wall?

Possibly, they do bring winter (and presumably ice) with them.

That’s what I’m assuming. I’m guessing that the ocean around coasts of the North hasn’t frozen over since the Wall itself was built.

That would be kinda…disappointing. I fully expected the wall to go down, walking around it is so anti climatic. Even the Wildlings had to climb it if they wanted to get more than a handful of people on the other side.

Well, I guess our Samwell can keep his sword after all.

So what did the note Arya stole say? If it isn’t somewhere online already i’ll be disappointed on the internet.

It was planted by Littlefinger. I’m figuring he still has the real one. But the one Arya found was by Sansa looked like she was asking Robb to bend the knee for Joffrey after Ned was beheaded

Something something Joffrey something something, signed Sansa, is all that I caught.

I read ‘died of wounds’ i thought.

A long, long time ago I saw a story about something that happened in the days they had continuing serial stories at the movies. Where each week would end on a cliff hangar, and all week the audience would wonder how the hero could possibly survive and so they’d have to come back the next week.

And how there came a week that ended with the heroine helpless in a coach that was driven over the end of a huge cliff… oh, no! How could she possibly survive?

And so the audience shows up eagerly the next week. And the serial starts up, a few minutes backed up from where it ended, so they could reshow the terrible dilemma to set the cliff hangar up again… but this time the coach didn’t go over the cliff. It turned aside and continued rolling.
I think the start of this episode was rather less believable than that one from the old days.

Ser Jorah, Lord of the Friend Zone, the permanently chaste, last of his name…

the note was probably the one Sansa sent under duress asking Robb to support Joffrey before Ned was killed.

I thought it said “stole his crown” - it may have been the note that Sansa sent to Robb under duress telling him that Ned was a traitor so bend the knee to Joff.

OK I paused and read it. It looks like
“Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar …unreadable…Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters…unreadable…King’s Landing and swear loyalty to King Joffrey and…unreadable. Your faithful Sister, Sansa”

Glad to see Gendry back…but he really doesn’t know when to keep things to himself does he?

Loved the “thought you might still be rowing” from Davos.

Right now there’s a Westerosi Magnificent Seven north of the Wall. Can’t wait to see how that turns out!

It said that Robert died of wounds boarhunting. That Ned rebelled against Joffrey and that the Starks in Winterfell should support Joffrey. It was the note the forced Sansa to send after Ned was either arrested or killed.

I agree. That body of water must have an incredible undertow.

I called it last week that Dickon would be used to show Dany going too far. I thought when John told Jorah that he served with his father, Jorah would mention that he was saved by Sam Tarly who had told Jorah the same thing. But the writers didn’t want to give Dany a chance to second-guess herself.

And he gets the big country house. I’m guess he is now Lord and Gilly is now Lady Tarly.

Well he’s already given all that up by taking the black.
