Speaking of nude scenes, have we even gotten any nudity so far this season? I feel like we really deserve some by now.
Furthermore, if Sansa has learned the art of deceit from Littlefinger, why hasn’t she destroyed the message long before now?
I think Littlefinger is walking around with Sansa, not vice versa.
Then she allows it. Littlefinger is not entitled to walk with the Lady of Winterfell just because he feels like if she does not.
Did you already forget about Nathalie Emmanuel? she was perfection.
Or Arya could interpret the situation as Littlefinger trying to blackmail Sansa. If he had her best interests at heart, why would he have hidden it instead of just burning it? There’s a bit of a callback to the very first episode when Cat reads and then immediately burns the message from her sister, and we did have Arya-Sansa convo about their parents bedchambers.
Oh God, yes I did - thank you for reminding me. It’s not any fault of hers… I just have a crappy memory.
I don’t understand why they don’t just send one of the dragons north of the Wall and just start setting the White Walkers and wight on fire. It’s not like they have a Scorpion or anything. No need for a whole army and all this dragonglass mining.
In the previous episode, in the scene in the Godswood, Sansa tells Bran directly, in the presence of Arya, that she doesn’t trust Littlefinger. We don’t have to infer that Arya knows it; she was told it.
Here’s the text of the letter:
“Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart. Our good king Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert’s brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you come to King’s Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark. Your faithfull sister, Sansa.”
I’m thinking Arya is clever enough to see through that. She knows that Joffrey didn’t marry Sansa and that Sansa was not well treated by the Lannisters. Brienne, Bran and Pod can all give her info on what Sansa has been through.
Then the letter was written before Ned’s execution. Arya was present at Ned’s execution (although Joren shielded her from seeing the actual beheading) and knows that Sansa begged that Ned should not be executed.
I think Jorah keeps giving Jon side eye because he mentions being at the wall, and serving under his father at Castle Black. I think Jorah is wondering how Jon managed to leave the Night’s Watch, become King of the North and end up at Dragonstone without having first lost his head for being an oath breaker. Dany and the others, being foreigners don’t know enough to be asking that question. Tyrion should have been more curious than anyone, having actually spent time there.
And Nina Hedley may be old news but she’s gotta count too, no?
I think its 100% because of Dany. Jorah is a one note character now, his whole arc revolves around being captain friendzone.
Lena Headey.
When Tyrion and Jon meet at Dragonstone they had a little exchange that went something like-- Jon: Where’d you get that scar? Must be an interesting story of how a Lannister ends up the Hand of Daenerys. Tyrion: About as interesting as a bastard wall-watcher becomes Kingada Norff.
ETA: I’ve been calling her Nina this whole time!
Maybe. I believe she used a body double again in that scene, perhaps because she was recovering from her second pregnancy.
Yes, but Arya is judging on what Sansa does as opposed to what she is told (same thing with the Sansa saying she doesn’t want Jon’s spot - Arya saw right through that).
If you’re not going to believe the scene I just cited, there’s not much more I can say. There’s really no basis for thinking Arya wouldn’t believe Sansa on this issue.
Sansa actually doesn’t trust Littlefinger. There’s nothing to “see through” here. If Arya believes that Sansa trusts Littlefinger, she must be very unperceptive indeed.
Doesn’t Howland Reed know Jon’s parentage? He was with Ned at the Tower of Joy.
I think they’re inserting the Arya/Sansa drama just for the sake of drama and stakes – not that there will actually be any Stark rift. I think Littlefinger doesn’t make it out of the season.
