I’m the only video game geek on the planet who is not eagerly anticipating Spore. I might try it out once it hits shelves, but I’ll wait for the reviews first. I’m pretty confident that the game is going to be reviewed badly, but I’ve been wrong before.
What I’m really excited for is the console Civilization coming out in June. They’re claiming the DS version is going to be the same exact game as the 360 and PS3 versions, but with simpler graphics and a more appropriate interface. If that’s true, I might start playing my DS again.
Also, Wrath of the Lich King might get me to reactivate my World of Warcraft account. It’s a long shot, because I’m so proud of the progress I’ve made in my life since I quit that game, but it just looks so damn cool!
I’m very excited about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Alpha Protocol, Prototype, and (of course) Spore. My WoW account will not be reactivated for WoTLK, but I’m interested to see just what changes they make.
Dude. Awesome. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. CMBB is one of the greatest games of all time, and this is exactly the sort of thing that would expand the experience. I hope they take as much care modelling the operational game as they did the tactical.
Is that fully confirmed? I heard about the full English translation being found in the DQIV ROM, and that DQIV now apparently has an ESRB rating, but not anything fully confirming an American release.
Me, I’m going with Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2, in late June. Not only did I enjoy the first, but I once more get to play my favorite CRPG class of all time, the Blue Mage!
Wrath of the Lich King tops the list, and shortens it a great deal, too. Apart from that, I’m really only waiting for the releases of Empire: Total War and Elder Scrolls V. Sure, I’d probably enjoy games like Bioshock or Mass Effect, but WoW still takes up a huge chunk of my gaming time.
I can’t get too excited about Elder Scrolls V until they give us some information about it. If they don’t drastically overhaul the leveling system, I’m not wasting my money on a game that punishes you for gaining levels.
It hasn’t been fully confirmed yet, but Square-Enix did register US trademarks for all three titles. After Final Fantasy III DS (and the previous GBA remakes) I’d be very shocked if they didn’t come to America.
