Gaming Dopers: What's Your Fix?

In the past I’ve been hooked on Transport Tycoon, Caesar and (briefly) Theme Hospital; my current addiction is CivIII.

Of course, I’ve got two boxes of older games that never even got loaded into the computer because I never had time to play them.

Gotta’ love Doom2.
I just got hooked on it again after a long hiatus. I’m trying to make it all the way through on the ‘Ultra Violence’ setting without using any cheats but I’m not having much success.
Sometimes, when you’re facing a roomful of arachnotrons with a chainsaw, you just have to ‘IDDQD’.

Currently playing Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura and will return to Civ III when I’m done. I like RPGs and turn-based strategy games.

I play Neverwinter Nights, and when not online I play D&D (2nd ed.) I am in the middle of a large scale tabletop miniatures battle; my King is an ultroloth- my opponents are a cloud dragon, a titan, a marilith, and a deep dragon. Our next session is Friday.

I’m still looking for NWN players for our online group; we have a private server, and 3 DMs so far. Email me if interested.

Currently playing Shadowman 2 The Second Coming. For the PS2

Um, Carcassone, Settlers of Catan, Magic: The Gathering…

wait, not what you meant, right?

D&D?

oh…

oh yeah, those…

Final Fantasy, Rainbow 6/Rogue Spear/etc., starcraft, Oddworld…

Civ III rules OK. Championship Manager 2002 is rather cool, also.

But for my money nothing will ever beat the roguelikes. NetHack, Angband, Dungeon Crawl, ADoM…all killer, no filler.

I forgot to mention my 2 favorite games of all time: Homeworld and Homeworld:Cataclysm. HW2 is coming out soon I CAN’T WAIT!!!

MY other fav games: Dune:Emporer, Total Annihilation (and expansions) and Tachyon:The Fringe.

Has anyone out there played Earth and Beyond yet? I DLed teh demo and im going to check it out when I have time. (1.1 GB demo!!!)

I also, from time to time, play Magic Online. I’m “Legomancer”.

Oh, gawd, that’s freaking hilarious! I never thought of putting comical songs in the MP3 directory. :smack:

GTA3 and WarCraft III are my current favorites.

I stick to Unreal Tournament, Close Combat 3 or 4 (yeah, I know it’s old) and I’ve been trying out OpenRPG to game online with some buddies from upstate NY.
for face to face games, I like GURPS and Munchkin.

I’m not much of a computer gamer… though I do play my fair share of Heroes of Might and Magic IV and Civ III (and I want, oh so very badly, Age of Mythology for Christmas). I play in a couple of online RPGs though (one World of Darkness campaign, and 2 Amber campaigns at the moment, with a couple more Amber campaigns to come), and I have a monthly face to face RPG that I play (Aberrant). Given the choice of face to face, though, I’d play GURPS. If I could find anyone close enough by to run a GURPS game. (Since I have NO GM powers whatsoever.)

LlamaPoet: Is AC2 any good? I’m thinking about it for Christmas.

In the meantime, can anyone reccomend any good free online games with a web-shell interface… Kinda like Netropolis (you guys HAVE to try it). I’m not too sure the mods would like it if I posted links but it’s too much fun.

I play D2XP a good bit … okay, if there’s a day where I don’t play at least two hours, then I’m either making a 7-hour drive or I’m home. My usual accounts are our_specialchar, iampunhamfsorc, puhnazon (was very sleepy, I know, I misspelled it), iampunha and robpatbarbs.

I like:
Morrowind
Medieval Total War, and the entire Rainbow Six series, try the Raven Shield demo, lots o’ fun.

In fact, if anyone is interested in some online Raven Shielding, let me know when.
