I noticed on Yahoo! News that George C. Scott has died. He was such a great actor, IMO, and I always respected the fact that he turned down that Oscar.
Farewell Mr. Scott and thanks for all the great movies.

Rommel, you magnificant bastard! I read your book!
I always thought that Scott displayed a comic talent in Dr. Strangelove that went largely unexamined for the rest of his career. He was one of the good ones. Don’t forget, though, Glitch–he did win that other Oscar for “Man Getting Hit In The Groin By Football.”
For some reason, I thought that he had just played in a movie that was released. I think he played a father that was abusive or something…Am I right, or getting him confused with someone else?
You might be thinking of James Coburn in “Affliction” with Nick Nolte.
Coincidentally, I was watching the movie “Tyson” last night. In it, Scott plays Cus D’Amato.
Thanks Glitch…that was it…apologies to Mr. Scott…
George, you magnificent bastard! YOU’RE DEAD!
