So I guess that means there’s only one Beatle left.
Cruel. But true.
Excuse me? 2+2=4 if I still remember correctly.
'Bye George…
Sorry about that last post.
I got the underlying truth about half a second too late. Didn’t mean to sound snotty, it’s just been one of those days…

Someone on The Guardian’s George Harrison Tribute site has written, “It is truly a sad world when you start to run out of Beatles.”
This is the first time that a rock and roll star that I listen to has died in my lifetime.
Zappa died in 1993, and I didn’t become a fan until 2 years ago, so I already knew he was dead and it was just a fact. Same with Lennon, Hendrin and Janis Joplin, I just knew that were dead and accepted it. I became a Beatles fan 2 years ago and I took it that there were three Beatles still alive.
This is a sad event. But the reports on his state of mind and attitude as he faced the end are heartening.
Quiet excellence is something we need more of in every art and trade. And pursuing things beyond the material plane while staying connected is a worthy endeavor.

…and remember to declare the pennies on your eyes on the way to the next cycle, GH…
I don’t get, or like, this. Attrayant, are you insulting Starr or McCartney?
Speaking of McCartney, he’s given good press so far. Maybe some of you remember his remark when someone jammed a mike in his face after Lennon was killed. “It’s a drag,” he said, and was reviled for allegedly shrugging off the loss. He claimed afterwards that he was both in mourning and in shock, therefore not equipped to deliver an instant eulogy. I can see that. He was younger then; he still hadn’t learned not to bring his weed through customs, for instance. Plus, there’s a major difference between finding out that your mate has died peacefully in his sleep when you knew for several years that he was sick, and hearing that another pal was shot by a random nut. But now he’s bearing his title (is “Sir” a title?) with honor.
Rilchiam calm down…its a joke.
Ever listen to the ‘White Album’ backwards, or see the cover of Abbey Road?
If you did you’d know what Attrayant is talking about ;)…
Oh. Jeez, I had completely forgotten.

Keith Richards outlived him. As he is going to outlive everyone. When the apocalypse comes, there will be nothing left but cockroaches and him.
…and Cher!
Well, we’ll still have his music, and that’ll make us smile.
A few days ago I rented “Life of Brian” almost at random because I wanted to see something funny and I hadn’t seen it in years and years and didn’t remember much about it. When I watched it, I appreciated it a lot more than I could have when I was younger. Then I looked it up on IMDB and found out that it never would have been completed if George hadn’t gambled some of his Beatles loot on it just because he thought Monty Python were cool. Then he died.
I think that in memorial to George Harrison’s coolness we should all agree to pretend that the Traveling Wilburys never existed.
I never cry but yesterday and today I keep welling up at unexpected times.
Thanks for the songs George.
