That seems to be… in incredibly poor taste. I can’t imagine the thought process that went into this. Is he that desperate? Or does he figure nothing he can do now can make him more hated than he already is?
He thinks he’s a hero. He thinks he’s got nothing to be ashamed of. He’s doing it for the publicity and a chance to rub peoples’ noses in his “innocence”. And yeah, make a quick buck.

He’s living on borrowed time. My ESP is weak, but I can clearly see the future headlines about Zimmerman dying after attempting a swim from Miami to Nassau with 90 pounds of chain wrapped around his feet. Obvious suicide.
Zimmerman is the only man alive who makes Trump seem honorable and trustworthy in comparison. And I suspect that there is almost 1:1 overlap between supporters of the two. He is a menace to our species and I’m not afraid to say that the sight of his face makes me wish he would have a run in with Bill Bob Thornton’s character from Fargo.
