Actually I would be surprised if he hadn’t been threatened. These days when your at the center of such an emotionally charged and well publicized issue, death threats come with the territory. It just takes one idiot with a phone.
I seriously believe it’s safer to assume that whatever Zimmerman asserts is actually the opposite. He is the type of liar that doesn’t just have zero credibility. He has negative credibility, in the mathematical sense. So it doesn’t matter if what he claims is plausible.

Why is this even newsworthy? Let the idiot sell his damn gun to whomsoever wants to buy it, who gives a shit? The less I hear about this dangleberry the better I like it. He clearly misses his brief time in the spotlight and yearns for the attention of the media. He should be totally ignored; that he would not like at all.
Okay, Rawstory is also reporting it. They’re marginally more credible than a blog post on Occupy Democrats, but all they have are some quotes (not screenshots) of Twitter posts, and those posts don’t explicitly say that Shkreli wants to buy the gun.
I looked at Shkreli’s Twitter feed (God, i’m never doing that again), and all i see is the post quoted in RawStory, where he essentially makes a hypothetical comment, saying that he would only ever consider buying the gun as a museum piece and a reminder of racism.
I see no evidence that he ever seriously considered making a bid or actually buying the weapon.
